Your business is not an ATM that dispenses money for your daily needs, your business is an investment with a futuristic goal.

There's a time frame or profit margin at which you're permitted to spend from business income if your business must succeed.

What engenders business success most times is not basically about the product, but about your attitude towards financial management.

Do you consider your profits as your money, or do you consider it as a debt owed to the business?

Online vs the Offline

I once asked if it has ever crossed your mind why the Facebook cover picture has a rectangular shape like a business card?

It means that your Facebook cover picture is your online business card.

The next question you should ask yourself is; what are the features and function of a business card?

Your business card (facebook cover picture) should include the following:

✓ Logo (not compulsory)

✓ Company name (also not compulsory for the online platform, but if you have one already you can add it)

✓ Your name ( your name is already on your profile)

✓ Job title ( what you can do for your prospects)

✓ Website (necessary, but a startup can do without it or use any of the following: what'sapp link, Facebook group link, page link, any link)

✓ Contact details (phone number)

It's functions includes:

✓ Networking, making genuine connections.

✓ They are the most effective direct marketing tools.

✓ A business card is the first impression of your brand.

✓ Creative business cards get shared -- continuing to market for you.

✓ Business cards show you are prepared.

Next time when you want to upload your fine face or your product on your cover picture, ask yourself if you want likes or sales.

This is one of the reasons you get hundreds of likes when you post your picture, but when you make a post about your product or service; it will get no likes at all.

You have 5k friends and they like your pictures, but never engage with your products; a business card like cover picture solves the problem.

Your 5k+ friends are not product or service related, that's the reason you should design your FB profile with a business understanding; so you can have prospects amongst your friend bucket not a bunch of family and friends that will only like and go away.

The Online vs the Offline!

If you've ever made a penny offline, you should be making a double online.

Inserts:
"Personally, for some reasons best known to me; I stop attending Sunday service at my local Church exactly three weeks before the covid-19 lockdown to date.

After the lockdown, I began attending the mid-week services till date; I never attended the Sunday service.

On the 8th of September, the third president of my Church came for a prophetic visitation in my state; and he will be the officiating minister come tomorrow's meeting.

For that single reason, I, and at least three friends of mine yet to resume meetings have made up our minds to attend tomorrow's service".

It's called: Retargetting or Remarketing, whichever you choose to call it.

It's a form of online advertising that can help you keep your brand in front of bounced traffic after they leave your website.

I was a home cell leader, but Corona happened, members traveled and the home cell went down.

Now, the whole covid-19 hit is considered over and the Church understanding how the whole thing works decided to retarget its backslidden members; and it worked.

What I don't understand is why you have refused to take advantage of the online system and principles, when the Church; with all its Power, Faith, holy spirit, and grace is maximizing it.

I was surfing the Facebook world and I came across this old lady that's still promoting her business on FB, and I began to wonder why you think online is a no-no.

Finally, I want to answer a question that has been thrown at me on different platforms.

Questions like:

✓ I I sell bags and I don't know anything to write about bags.

✓ what if I'm into construction and I don't know what to write about it?

What if this and what if that?

Remember, passion is key in whatever you choose to do; If it doesn't bring you Joy then it's not worth the work.

But, to answer you; your content must not be 100% about your product or service.

NO!

But you must choose from a trendy topic.

✓ money

✓ good sex/relationship/marriage

✓ Religion

✓ politics

INDEPENDENCE SPEECH.

3000+% ago, a King and the wisest man that ever lived said this:

woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!

Today, Medical experts and Food/Nutritionists say that breakfast is the most important meal for the day.

I like using the sayings of this wise man as a bases for my analysis, because it has stood the taste of time.

the wise man said again:

"all things continue the way they have been since the beginning. the same things will be done that have always been done. there is nothing new in this life"

hahahahahahahba!

I just love his analysis of life, from the perspective of the wisest man that ever lived; according to God himself.

let's define some terms all things being equal:

✓ woe (shame, pity, cursed, think of any degrading word).

✓ o land (the people that are unsuccessful, failed, clueless, confused, hopeless, without clarity of purpose, the list is without end)

✓ King (in control, successful, have clarity of purpose, aware, alert, understands times and seasons, rules, in charge, calls the short, any word that speaks success)

Note: the people (unsuccessful, clueless, confused, hopeless, without clarity of purpose, failures) nothing of good report was said about them, infact the only thing that was said concerning "the people" is dependent on how the Kings choose to spend their life.

let's define the terms from the second statement:

✓ all things ( that includes your life and your business, your nation, your online presence and Influence; everything)

✓ continue the way they have been since the beginning ( the formulas remains the same, Kings will continue to call the shots, the people will continue to live at the mercy of the kings, and the rest will remain history)

✓ THERE'S NOTHING NEW IN THIS LIFE (this explains the whole thing):

the question you should ask yourself is this; are you amongst "the people" or "the Kings"?

because nothing is changing, you just have to choose the class you desire to belong to.

The Interview analogy.

Research has it that over 80+% of persons who failed their interview failed due to poor presentation.

Before you went in for that interview, you took time to prepare for it; but 3 minutes into the interview it dawn's on you that you only prepared on the wrong things.

Lately, HRs are more interested in individuals with high level of emotional intelligence compared to first class mediocres; Kiyosaki explained that better.

This best explains the Pareto principle, the principle states that 80% of consequences come from 20% of the causes.

In other words, questions such as;

✓ can we meet you?

You don't bore the panelists with the story of your life, rather you give them your career history so far.

Eg: I graduated so so year, worked with x,y,z and a.

This is what I achieved while working with a, x, y and z.

This was the reason I quit from my last place of employment.

✓ why should we take you?

You're not the best, even if for some reasons you think you are; because the number of prospects for that position is too wide to measure. In other words, you can't say the reason they should take you is because you're the best.

You can say; first off is my Joy and desire to improve on my career via working with you, because every success is determined by 80% attitude (psychology) and 20% skill.

Also, from the things I said I cheived at the different places I've worked, it's obvious that I'm a fast learner and will understand the strategy that works here quickly.

Lastly, good business idea is the backbone of the success any business enjoys; in other words I believe in your business ideas.

✓ how much should we pay you

We've heard stuffs like, you have people at my level of qualification working with you already, you can scale me with them.

Some may want to quote a price from what they learnt from people around them, and other options.

But I believe it's better to leave the panelists confuse and have a little control of the situation.

If you quote an amount, whether higher or lower; you may appear too cheap or greedy. And bet me, you don't want any of that.

Say something like this:

the easiest way to generate organic traffic is to share valuable contents for free, some persons will find this hard because they must earn.

but not everyone will be that techy to implement, have the time to implement, have the necessary tools to implement, know how to use the tool to implement, some will even be too lazy to implement.

but the secret of giving values for free is building trust, network, defined community, the list is without end.

in other words, even when you give values for free; people must still reach you for your services.

the reason is simple; you don't eat at restaurants because you don't know or have what to cook at home, time and chance happens to them all.

that's when your offer becomes irresistible, because they are asking to buy; you're not compelling/persuading them.

It's as simple as that, but it cos me money to learn.
