The Gombe branch of the Nigerian Red Cross Society joined a blood donor drive rally organised by the Gombe State Ministry of Health. The rally kicked off at the Gombe Emir's place, passing through Tsohuwar Kasuwa and Jekadafari, before ending at Gombe Specialist Hospital. The NRCS team spread awareness about blood donation among the public and traffic participants, and also mobilized support at the hospital .

🩸 CALL FOR VOLUNTARY BLOOD DONATION

The Gombe State Government, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, is embarking on a Voluntary Blood Donation Exercise at the Specialist Hospital, Gombe.

📅 Date: 12th – 27th February, 2026

🤝 Blood donation remains a vital humanitarian service that supports emergency response, surgical procedures, maternal care, and other critical health needs.

🙏 All Red Cross volunteers and members of the public are kindly requested to participate and donate freely and willingly.

🚍 Volunteers outside Gombe State are advised to signify interest. Transportation may be provided where necessary.

Today, 15th January 2026, activities marking the Armed Forces Remembrance Day were held alongside a Medical Outreach Programme at Pantami Stadium, Gombe State.

The event was organized to honour the bravery and sacrifices of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces, both past and present, while also demonstrating care and solidarity with the community through the provision of essential medical services. The medical outreach offered health education, basic medical consultations, and other supportive services to members of the public in attendance.

The combined observance reflects a strong commitment to patriotism, remembrance, and humanitarian service, reinforcing the importance of supporting both national heroes and the well-being of the people. 🇳🇬🕊️🩺

His commitment, leadership, and passion for service left an indelible mark on our branch and on everyone who worked with him. He will always be remembered for his unity, discipline, and selflessness.
