Hello Airdrie, how was your week?

My week was a beautiful one despite the windstorm. Thank you to our City administrative teams for their swift response. I hope everyone stayed safe and that there was no severe or lasting damage.

On Thursday, we had the State of the City event. If you could not attend, I have shared a recap on my profile. Please take a moment to look through the caption and photos to catch up on what was discussed.

Friday marked six months in office this term. I am truly grateful for your continued support, your voice, and the way our community keeps showing up. It has been encouraging to see the progress we are making together.

We are also beginning residential street sweeping across Airdrie. Please look out for the scheduled dates in your area and remember to move your vehicles so our crews can do a thorough job. This helps keep our streets clean and safe for everyone.

Before I go, there are a couple of important surveys I would love you to participate in. The Airdrie Budget Survey, Census Survey and the Airdrie Satisfaction Survey all available on airdrie.ca Your feedback helps us understand how to serve you better, what to improve, and what to keep doing well.

Until next time, please stay safe. If you do not need to go out in this weather, stay warm and cozy.

Have a lovely weekend.

🤍

Due to high winds, we recognize that some residents may have had missed garbage collection, experienced carts being blown over or chosen not to set their carts out. We will reach out to residents in affected communities through MyAirdrie notifications. If you are not signed up for MyAirdrie notifications and receive Thursday or Friday garbage collection and it was missed, please call 311.

For blue cart concerns, please contact GFL directly at 780.444.8805 or bring your recycling to the Recycle Depot at 21 East Lake Hill.

Hello Airdrie 💙, I hope you’re well.

Hosted by the Airdrie Regional Chamber of Commerce this morning, the “State of the City” event was a great moment of alignment.

City leadership shared updates on achievements, ongoing work, and opportunities ahead across infrastructure, recreation, and community development.

It was encouraging to see leaders, businesses, and residents in the same room, engaged in shaping Airdrie’s future. 😊

Hello Airdrie 🤍

Volunteers truly make our community thrive.

I have personally experienced the impact of volunteering, not only in the opportunity to give back, but also in the support I have received from others who showed up when it mattered most. That spirit of service is what continues to shape the heart of Airdrie.

To every volunteer who gives their time, energy, and care, thank you. You are the quiet strength behind so many of the things we enjoy as a community.

Your impact is seen, felt, and deeply appreciated.
