Experts always emphasize healthy eating, balanced diet and diets rich in fiber. These are inconsequential if the environment through which nutrients are absorbed from food (the gut) is inflamed. The main factor that sustains inflammation of the gut is chronic stress, which is also the major cause of chronic diseases, like hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, obesity, Alzheimer’s disease, autoimmune diseases, etc.
As the primary process through which food enters the human body for nutrients absorption, the act of eating contributes largely to chronic stress if not done correctly.
Stress is anything that leads to physical, emotional, and mental tension or fear in human body. It sends warning message to the brain and prepares the body for quick response. It is a short term answer to immediate need by the natural immune system to act against attack to the body by foreign bodies. Stress becomes a problem when it is continuously heightened, putting the body in state of constant emergency state.
