ZEIP NIGERIA 'Welfare Drive' tagged "Leave No On Behind" Our goal is to reach out 1000 Persons Living With Disability accross 3 Local Government Areas in Kano... thanks to all the support we have received thus far, we are still taking more... Raw food, Clothes, Cash donation and Service will be well appreciated. Our Dates and Location are ; Kumbotso LGA 17th Sept , Dala 19th Oct and Finally Gwarzo LGA 28 Nov 2019. There is still time for you to support us and be apart of this global movement .

I am not much of a story teller or script writer so just bear with me.

This is Fatima Bashir, she has a 4 year old younger sister and both of them suffer from hearing and speech impairment. The man standing beside her is her teacher and while describing her to me he said "she is my best student" that immediately caught my attention and i tried having a conversation with her which didnt work out (cos of my inability to sign, working on sha), she smiled as she attempted teaching me A-Z in sign language. She grabbed my jotter and wrote her name clearly, trust me my heart leaped for joy when i saw this.

These three kids are visually impaired (Blind), two of them are siblings just imagine what it is like of them. All three are primary 2 children with in inclusive primary at Bichi Local Government. The girl Amina who has partial impairment was filled with joy and laughter when she was told we are coming to spend time with her. Tears almost dropped 😢😢😢😢

It is our duty to do something, we have to be the change, these kids need us.

This you see right here☝☝☝ is the school's library turned classroom for the differently abled students in the school. The teachers managed to separate the students according to classes but we are saying No child should be xcluded, these kids should be admitted into general schools the implication is that it will help to curb discrimination, isolation and fear amongst them.
