The Data Driven Project on Malaria for Q2

While our teams have been on the ground this first quarter of 2026 ensuring rural communities in Kano have access to clean water, we are already preparing for our next critical mission: Malaria Prevention.

Impact isn't just about distribution; it's about reaching those who need it most. Our mapping this quarter identified 25 households living near streams who are at extreme risk.

As we finalize procurement for ITNs and test kits, we invite you to view our 2025 Impact Highlights. This video demonstrates our proven capacity to turn donor support into health outcomes on the frontline.

This is the same dedication and impact we are bringing to our high-risk households starting this April.

The Five-Kilometer Walk for a Single Cup of Water

Imagine waking up at 5:00 AM, not to get ready for school, but to start a trek. Imagine walking kilometers under the heat, only to reach a source that is muddy, stagnant, and unsafe. This is the reality for children in the rural communities we serve in Northern Nigeria.
For a young girl in these villages, "water" doesn't mean a tap. It means a heavy yellow jerrycan, sore shoulders, and missed lessons.
But this week, that story changes.
We have already rehabilitated 7 hand pumps this year, bringing safe, life-giving water to thousands. We have one more pump to go to meet our goal for this quarter.
The Magic of This Moment:
Because of GlobalGiving campaign, your "small" act of kindness is doubled.
• You give $25: It becomes $50. That’s more spare parts for the pump.
• You give $50: It becomes $100. That covers a significant portion of the specialized labor needed to bring an old well back to life.
Today, your $50 doesn’t just buy a part. It buys a child’s time back. It buys her health. It buys her education.

THE FINAL STRETCH: 7 Down, 1 to Go! 💧

We are so close, we can almost hear the water flowing!
Since January, Serendipity Healthcare Foundation has been on a mission to restore hope in rural Northern Nigeria. Working alongside our incredible community volunteers, we have successfully rehabilitated 7 faulty hand pumps!
That’s hundreds of mothers—including those living with disabilities—who no longer have to trek miles for a basic human right.
But we aren't finished yet. We have ONE MORE PUMP to fix before the end of March to hit our Q1 goal. This final pump is the only source of clean water for over 100 families who are currently struggling.
Will you be the one to help us cross the finish line?

The Goal: We need ₦250,000 / $180 to complete this final rehabilitation.

The Impact: Health, dignity, and a shorter walk for an entire village.
Let’s end this quarter strong! No woman left behind. No pump left broken.

At Serendipity Healthcare Foundation, we believe that respecting the culture and traditions of our community is the first step toward sustainable change.

As schools across most Northern Nigeria states close for the Ramadan break, our project enters a beautiful phase of "quiet readiness" We have officially secured 20 full year scholarships and branded bags for our newest cohort of girls.

Though we have to wait for schools to resume to physically hand them over, the impact is already in motion. We are so grateful to our donors for their compassion and for understanding the rhythm of life here in Kano.

Stay tuned for the smiles and the celebration once schools resume.

On behalf of the Serendipity Healthcare Foundation, I would like to express our deepest gratitude for your past support. Because of you, 15 women entrepreneurs are no longer just "small business owners"—they are digitally savvy CEOs. Six months after graduation, these women have successfully moved their businesses online, implemented formal governance, and expanded their market reach through e-commerce.
However, the demand for this transformation is overwhelming. To meet this need, we are launching our 2026 Digital Expansion Project.
The Goal: Scaling Impact
Our objective for the first quarter of 2026 is to train 150 women entrepreneurs in high-level digital skills and, for the first time, Artificial Intelligence (AI) for small businesses. We are moving beyond basic literacy to ensure that women in our community are at the forefront of the technological revolution.
Why Artificial Intelligence?
The business landscape is changing rapidly. By teaching these women to use AI for customer service automation, content creation, and inventory forecasting, we are giving them a competitive edge that saves time and reduces overhead costs. Your investment will provide:
• Access: High-speed internet and modern digital tools.
• Knowledge: Curriculum-led training on E-commerce and AI.
• Sustainability: Business governance structures that ensure long-term profitability.
Investment Opportunity
To reach our goal of 150 women by March 2026, we are seeking a total investment of ₦14,700,000.
This breaks down to approximately ₦98,000 per woman. This one-time investment provides a woman with the tools to lift her business—and her family—out of economic instability permanently.
Join Us in Building the Future
We have seen the proof of concept with our first 15 graduates. We know the model works. Now, we invite you to help us scale it. Your contribution will directly fund the technical training, software access, and mentorship required to turn 150 local businesses into digital success stories.
We would welcome the opportunity to discuss this proposal further or host you at our training hub to see the impact of your previous donations firsthand.
Warm regards,

Samirah Faruk

Tomorrow, your $100 goes twice as far

One day left to change a child’s life in Northern Nigeria

Dear Supporters, Friends and Family of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,

Did you know that tomorrow is Giving Tuesday? It is a global day of generosity, but for the children in the rural communities of Northern Nigeria, it represents something much more critical: Hope.
Right now, thousands of children in our target communities wake up not to the smell of breakfast, but to the burden of a long trek. They walk miles under the scorching sun, not for education, but to fetch water from streams that are often contaminated and unsafe.
Tomorrow, we have a rare opportunity to change this narrative faster than ever before.

The Big News:
GlobalGiving is matching funds! Donations of $100 or more will trigger a match, meaning your generosity will multiply.
• $100 can help repair a broken hand pump.
• $100 + The Match can be a part of getting a new water filtration systems for an entire classroom/community.
We are asking you to be ready. The matching funds are limited and they run out fast.
Here is the plan:
1. Set an alarm for tomorrow morning.
2. Click the link below.
3. Consider stretching your gift to $100 to unlock the bonus funds for Serendipity Healthcare Foundation.

Together, let’s make sure no child has to drink dirty water again.

With anticipation,

Samirah Faruk and the team

Mission Update: Shielding the Future against Malaria

Because of you, thousands of children sleep safely at night.
We are writing to you today with a heart full of gratitude to share the conclusion of Phase 4 of our Malaria Intervention Project. As you know, malaria has long been a thief in Fagge Local Government Area in Kano —stealing school days from children, wages from parents, and peace of mind from everyone.
But thanks to your generosity, we have fought back.

This donate to secure a child and a pregnant to have a silent safe sleep at night.

Access to safe, clean drinking water is not a privilege; it is a fundamental human right and the cornerstone of public health and economic stability. In Northern Nigeria, however, this right is tragically denied to millions, leading to devastating health crises, including rampant waterborne diseases.

Serendipity Healthcare Foundation (SHF) is working on the front lines to change this reality through sustainable, community-focused water solutions. Recently, SHF successfully completed the rehabilitation of four critical community hand pumps, replacing old corrugated pipes, performing deep-level repairs, and immediately restoring access to clean water for thousands of residents.

Visit our project page to learn more on how we successfully rehabilitated 5 handpumps in the phase one of our project and would go into phase two but we need your donations thus donate to Https://goto.gg/13660 to rehabilitate 10 more handpumps we have identified and have your funds matched from $100 by GlobalGiving.

Dear Valued Partners and Stakeholders,

We are delighted to share the latest progress report for the Serendipity Healthcare Foundation’s Girl Child Education Initiative. Your continued commitment is directly translating into life-changing opportunities for young girls across our communities.
This report details the significant achievements we’ve made this reporting period:
• Cumulative Impact: We have now successfully impacted over 2,500 pupils across 7 community schools in 10 local government councils, helping these young girls and boys stay in school and resist the pressure of early marriage.
• Targeted Intervention: We recently executed a high-impact intervention at Shehu Ringim Science and Mathematics School, providing essential writing materials, textbooks, and teaching aids to over 1,000 pupils. This vital effort was executed with a focused budget of just $400.
The Project Report on GlobalGiving https://goto.gg/52526 : Advancing Girl Child Education and Early Marriage Prevention, provides a full breakdown of our reach, activities, and budget allocation for this specific intervention.
Thank you once again for partnering with us to champion the future of the girl child. Your investment in their education is an investment in the entire community's future.
We look forward to discussing the next phase of this critical work with you.
Sincerely,
The Team at Serendipity Healthcare Foundation
