A few weeks ago, I Kehinde Alabi had the privilege of training a group of exceptional students from Gaskiya Senior College, Badia-Ijora, Lagos, in preparation for the Lagos State Schools Festival of Arts and Culture, themed “Culture as a Tool for Moral and Value Orientation” through my Art For Life initiative.
At the time, I had no idea I would soon be transferred. Still, I took up the responsibility wholeheartedly - scripting, directing, and training the students tirelessly through the holidays and late evenings, even after resuming at my new place of assignment. It was demanding, exhausting, yet deeply rewarding.
Seeing these students emerge 1st at the District Level and 2nd at the State Level fills me with quiet fulfillment and pride.
I didn’t need a prophet to tell me - I already knew the quality of what we had built together. And true enough, they excelled.
