In as much as genotype test is important, blood group test is importantanter. Reason that there's what we call rhesus factor (proteins found on the surface of a cell) if the they are not compatible with that of your partner, it can cause crises during pregnancy. You will be experiencing more of miscarriages and be blaming it on your village people. It can also lead to fetal anemia, immune hydrops (erythroblastosis fetalis).
It is advisable to talk to your doctor about your pregnancy history especially when you have experienced it last time. He knows what to do in order for you to carry your baby to term. If you chose to hide it, it's at your own peril. You are doing yourself.
So, do not rejoice yet when you pass the genotype test until you have confirmed your blood group compatibility.
