Have you been to the mortuary to get a dead person for burial?

I can tell you for free that there's nothing in this life. In the mortuary,both men and women lie on the floor naked but they don't lust after one another there. They don't caress one another as well because there's no pleasure there.

The people you are seeing in this photo are all dead bodies washed and prepared by the mortuary attendant awaiting their relatives to take them away for burial in their respective villages. Some of them own mansions,cars, landed properties, have fat bank accounts with millions running in them. It may surprise you to note that among these dead bodies standing like dry woods are Professors,PhD holders, Masters Degree holders, permanent Secretaries, Directors in Government parastatals industry owners, and a host of others but are not there with any of their properties. They left everything behind. This life ehn,hmmmmmmm!!!! We may brag and say,do you know who I am? Your real name is Mr or Mrs DUST!

In the mortuary, your pride will end, your womanizing or manizing will end there! No shakara there! All you have stolen from people won't follow you there! Let us humble ourselves before the Lord in holiness and righteousness.

Whoever you are and any level God has placed you in this life, don't forget that one day you will be like these people leaving everything you have ever laboured for, behind. So, don't pursue the world and abandon God because you will not leave forever here on earth.

NGIGE’s CONVOY ATTACKED IN ANAMBRA STATE.

Former Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Dr. Chris Ngige’s convoy was yesterday attacked on the Nkpor - Nnobi Road, Idemili North Local Government Area.

The former governor was not in the convoy as the time the attack occurred but a policeman in the pilot car was shot and his gun and uniform taken away by the suspected assailants who were dressed in police and army uniforms.

Unfortunately, a lady who was recording the shooting was fatally shot by the gunmen. A shop owner who raced to find out what was happening was also shot, but he only lost a lot of blood and will be operated upon soon to remove the bullets. He is expected to make full recovery. The pilot car was riddled with bullets.

No policeman was killed and the es**rt leader who was shot has been operated upon and is expected to make full recovery. The shop owner was lucky as the bullets didn’t lodge in his spine.

I just got of the phone with His Excellency and he confirmed the development, promising to do all he can to ensure that those injured receive adequate treatment. He also commiserated with the family of the unfortunate lady who was killed while videoing the scene.

When my daughter brought that young man who claimed that all his family are based in abroad, I was suspicious.

I told her to be patient when she was hastening us up for marriage. My pastor also told me to be cautious because he felt very uneasy.

I spoke with his supposed father and mother in abroad, but all of that didn't settle my suspicion.

When I asked my daughter when they met, she said about three months ago and through Facebook.

The young man told us that he took a month off to come for his wedding and move back to the USA with her (my daughter).

Although, a month earlier, she has told me that her husband will be coming to ask for her hand in Marriage next month.

All the questions I was trying to ask, my daughter was either shutting me up or interrupting me. I counselled her to exercise patient. I have two daughters, she is the eldest. My husband is late.

I called the elders in my husband family to talk to her, but she was bent on having the wedding before the one month he took off lapses.

I asked him about his extended families, he told me he is from Ekiti state but he was not born in Nigeria, and that they've lost contact with his family, and that his parents ran from Nigeria because of them.

I asked him to stay with us while we prepare for the wedding, at least to know him, but he insisted on staying in the hotel he has booked ahead of his coming.

My family and that of my husband complained of her impatience, but she was not going to listen to anyone.

I asked him about my daughter’s papers, he told me that the marriage certificate is what he's going to use to perfect it. I told my daughter to see things from my angle, but it all fell deaf ears. Since he was not processing any paper for her before now, can it be done within 3 or two weeks? She said it's possible.

I convinced my pastor against my instincts since my daughter was beginning to see me as not supporting her happiness.

The young man gave us plenty money to prepare for the wedding.

We held the wedding in our house, we didn’t invite people just my family and that of my husband.

The young man came with his male friends, and exotic cars.

He provided money for exotic decorations, he brought caterers and practically everything needed, in fact our house was painted in preparation. He changed the set of chairs in the sitting room.

He gave money to my extended families on both sides. He also blessed our pastor too.

We did the introduction, engagement and wedding that weekend.

After the wedding, they moved to their hotel because he said he must travel with her to lagos the next day to start the processing. They came the next day to greet me and told me they are on their way to lagos.

That was the last time I saw my daughter alive.

On the third day, I received a call from her, but it was someone who spoke with me. I was asked if I am the mother of.... I asked about my daughter, she told me to come right away.

When I got to the hotel, my daughter has been kìllèd, her hèàd and two brèàst has been removed.

The young man has disappeared. He didn't take anything that belongs to her, in fact, he left money in that hotel room.

I knew the first day that the young man is not real.

That was how my daughter was k!llèd by the man she met on Facebook.

FROM THE COURTROOM THIS AFTERNOON

Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo has sentenced a dismissed soldier with the Nigerian Army, 6 Battalion, Ibagwa in Abak, Corporal Stephen Iweh, to death by hanging for the murder of a 42-year-old man, Christopher Enobong Jimmy.

The incident occurred on 23rd May, 2021 along the East-West Road in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area.

The late Jimmy, who was the Manager of a Clearing and Forwarding Company in Port Harcourt, had offered Corporal Iweh a lift in his car from Trailer Park in Onne, Rivers State, to Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom.

Along the way, at Oboro Junction in Ikot Abasi, the 39 year-old soldier shot him dead before fleeing with the vehicle and valuables.

Investigations revealed that Corporal Iweh, a father of three children, had illegally kept the AK-47 rifle which he said he “picked at Dambou, Borno State in 2018 and decided to keep it as personal arms”.

He was later traced to Andy Guest House in Ukanafun, many kilometers from the scene of crime, where he was arrested and the rifle recovered.

In a judgment, the trial judge, Hon. Justice Bassey Nkanang held that the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that Corporal Iweh, a native of Ameke Nkor in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State, murdered Christopher Enobong Jimmy, an indigene of Ikot Abasi, robbed him of his Toyota Matrix car, while armed with an AK-47 rifle and unlawfully possessed the firearm without a license.

Investigations revealed that Corporal Iweh, a father of three children, who joined the Nigerian Army in 2002, had illegally kept the AK-47 rifle which he said he “picked at Dambou, Borno State in 2018 and decided to keep it as personal arm”.

The late Jimmy, Manager of a Clearing and Forwarding Company in Port Harcourt, was travelling home in his grey Toyota Matrix, when he gave the soldier, who was in full military uniform, a lift, at the Trailer Park in Onne enroute Akwa Ibom State.

The soldier later shot Jimmy at a junction in Oboro, Ikot Abasi, where they had stopped to urinate and eat Pork meat, before fleeing with the vehicle and other belongings.

According to Court records, Iweh, who was recruited into the Army in 2002 was later traced to Andy Guest House in Ukanafun, where he was arrested and an AK-47 rifle recovered from him.

Justice Nkanang convicted him on a three-count charge.

He was sentenced to death by hanging for murder, death by hanging for armed robbery, and 10 years imprisonment for unlawful possession of fi****ms.

In his plea for mercy, the convict begged the court for what he described as a “soft landing,” but his allocutus was rejected.

The late Christopher Jimmy is survived by his 34-year-old widow, Arit, who tearfully recounted that her husband had left Port Harcourt to visit his sister and family in Ikot Abasi, but did not return home.
