I was speaking to a group of people about the importance of oral healthcare and one man stood up to tell me he haven’t brushed his teeth in over 10 years and he doesn’t have any dental issue. He we t ahead to to tell me they it’s brushing that actually causes dental problems. Me I was looking at him and was smiling inside my mind. When it was time for oral examination and it was his turn, what I say in his mouth wowed me. Several teeth with hole, generalized gum problem and multiple mobile teeth. When I asked him if he doesn’t usually feel pan or discomfort sometimes. He said he does but then that he was sure it was old age. I smiled and told him his problems and told him the impending damage that will occur in a very shot time if proper care is not taken.
He was like but I’ve been using herbs to rinse my mouth daily. Me I was like please sir don’t understand estimate the power of tooth brushing.

A friend i advised on scaling and polishing few months ago is here in our dental office to do same S&P he swore never to do because he thought I just wanted to extort him.
Guess his reason for coming here today?
He was denied a a marketing job because his OHI was terrible 😛😛😛😛😛

It’s wise that when you feel you have a dental need that you go to the dental clinic and allow the dental health worker tell you what your dental needs are and not you telling him/her what you want.
A woman came to our office and was telling me she needs teeth gemstones. I told her I’ll like to examine her mouth, which she agreed to it.
After the examination I realized her OHI was very poor (she needed to get her teeth cleaned). I explained to her she insisted she doesn’t need it, but then I insisted and we went ahead with the cleaning. Can you imagine that by the time we were done we realized that 3 of her teeth already has holes and was covered by deposit.
Now imagine I didn’t insist and we went ahead with fixing the gems on the teeth like that.
Please whenever you have a dental appointment allow your dental health worker do his/ her job. We understand the teeth better than you do.
