*🧬 LIVING WITH A SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASE Series...*

*đź“› WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF SYPHILIS? đź’”*

There are four stages of syphilis. What symptoms you have depends on which stage of the disease you’re in. But the stages can overlap, and symptoms don’t always develop in the same order. You could even be infected with this sexually transmitted disease (STD) and not have any signs of it for years.

But even if you don’t have symptoms, you can still pass it on to your sexual partner. If you think you have it or have been exposed to syphilis, get treated right away.

The stages of syphilis are called “primary,” “secondary,” “latent,” and “tertiary (late).” This educational post deals with the symptoms typical of each stage.

*â—Ź Primary Syphilis*

Symptoms for the first stage normally appear 10 days to 3 months after you’re exposed to syphilis. You might notice that the lymph nodes near your groin are enlarged.

Typically, the first visible sign of syphilis is a small, painless sore (doctors call it a “chancre”) on the skin (you may develop several sores). It normally appears at the spot where the bacteria entered your body. The sore won’t hurt, and it may be hidden inside your re**um or va**na. You might not even know you have it.

The sore will heal on its own in about 3 to 6 weeks. But this doesn’t mean the infection is gone. It means you’re about to enter the second stage of syphilis.

*â—Ź Secondary Syphilis*

About 2 to 10 weeks after the first sore appears, you may develop the following:

â–ŞA skin rash that causes small, reddish-brown sores

â–ŞSores in your mouth, va**na, or a**s

â–ŞFever

â–ŞSwollen glands

â–ŞWeight loss

â–ŞHair loss

â–ŞHeadache

â–ŞExtreme tiredness (fatigue)

â–ŞMuscle aches

If you don’t get treatment right away, your symptoms will go away only to come back. This could happen for up to a year. Even if your symptoms don’t return, the infection is still alive in your body. Syphilis will get worse, and you can still infect your sexual partn

*What you need to know about The Prostate Gland And Prostate Enlargement*

The prostate is a small gland in men that is part of the reproductive system. The prostate is located between the bladder and the p***s, and just in front of the re**um and can be felt during a re**al examination.
In younger men the prostate is about the size of a walnut. As a man ages, the prostate can grow larger. When a man reaches the age of 40, the prostate gland might have increased from the size of a walnut to that of an apricot. By the time he reaches the age of 60, it might be the size of a lemon.

*Functions Of The Prostate* : 1.Semen Production . 2 Helps Ej*******on . 3 Helps Er****on .4 Promotes normal urine flow.

*Prostate Gland Enlargement*
Prostate gland enlargement also called Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a benign (noncancerous) enlargement of the prostate. The prostate cells gradually multiply, creating an enlargement that puts pressure on the urethra -- the "chute" through which urine and semen exit the body.
Because it surrounds part of the urethra, the enlarged prostate can squeeze the urethra. This causes problems in the passing of urine.
BPH is very common .

Age and a family history are risk factors.
A man's chances of having Prostate enlargement goes up with age:
Age 31-40: one in 12 have prostate enlargement.
Age 51-60: about one in two have prostate enlargement.
Over age 80: more than eight in 10 have prostate enlargement.
In other words eight out of every 10 men eventually develop an enlarged prostate. About 90% of men over the age of 85 will have Prostate enlargement.

*Symptoms Of Prostate Disorder*
Prostate disorders have similar symptoms, which may include one or more of the following:
Having to urinate frequently, particularly at night.
Feeling a sudden urge to urinate.
Difficulty in starting to urinate or urinating freely
Slow flow of urine and difficulty in stopping
Discomfort when urinating, having to strain to urinate.
Feeling tha

*Common Reasons Some wounds don't heal*.
_
1 . Diabetes

Because of elevated blood sugar, diabetics have an increased risk for slow-healing wounds and infection. The high blood sugar can negatively affect the circulation and immune system. It can also damage nerves that signal pain, leading to more wounds simply because the diabetics don’t know when something is hurting them.

2. Medication.. Different medications could also identify as your culprit for slow wound-healing. Chemotherapy and radiation drugs have powerful chemicals that hamper the immune system, making the healing process harder.

3. Poor circulation.. When the body is healing a wound, red blood cells are the ones that carry new cells to the site. In turn, they help form the foundation for new skin with collagen. If one has poor circulation, the blood will move to the wound site more slowly, delaying the healing process. Poor circulation can be due to diabetes, obesity, blood clots, arterial build-up or some other underlying condition.

4. Bed Sores Bed sores ( pressure ulcers) . For instance, a bedridden patient will have pressure on certain areas of the body that press up against the bed. That pressure can cause varying levels of sores, eventually leading to a gaping wound and infection if not cared for properly.

5. _Infection

If the wound area gets infected, you may notice persistent redness, swelling, pain and an off-color or foul-smelling fluid.

6.Poor Nutrition

7. Drinking Alcohol . Excessive alcohol decreases important white blood cells in the body that fend off bacteria.

8. Venous Leg Ulcers

Venous leg ulcers happen when a wound on your leg is slow to heal. Many times, the ulcers occur because of poor circulation in the veins of the legs.
