FACE WASHING SINS YOU NEED TO STOP 💚

A lot of people are damaging their skin without realizing it, especially when using black soap. Let’s fix that.

1. Applying soap directly on dry skin
This is harsh and can strip your skin. Soap should never go straight onto dry skin.

2. Rubbing raw soap directly on your face (even on wet skin)
Whether your face is wet or dry, applying the soap itself is too aggressive. You don’t need the raw soap on your skin.

3. Not using a proper lather
The correct way is simple:
Wet your hands → rub the soap between your palms → create a gentle lather → apply ONLY the lather to your face. Your face needs the foam, not the soap itself.

4. Using hot water
Hot water strips your natural oils and can worsen dryness and irritation. Always use lukewarm or cool water.

5. Using one towel for your face and body
Your face is more sensitive. Always use a separate, clean microfiber towel for your face to avoid bacteria transfer.

Other common mistakes people make:

6. Overwashing your face
Washing too many times a day weakens your skin barrier. Twice daily is enough.

7. Scrubbing too hard

LET’S TALK ABOUT CONTACT DERMATITIS 💚

Contact dermatitis is one of the most common skin reactions people experience, yet it is often misunderstood. Many people think it is simply “sensitive skin,” but in reality it is a form of skin inflammation that occurs when the skin comes into contact with a substance that irritates it or triggers an allergic reaction.

Understanding what causes it, how to recognize it, and how to properly manage it is very important for maintaining healthy skin.

Contact dermatitis is a condition where the skin becomes inflamed after exposure to a trigger. These triggers can be everyday products such as soaps, perfumes, hair products, detergents, metals, cosmetics, or even certain plants.

There are two main types:

1. Irritant Contact Dermatitis
This occurs when a substance directly damages the skin barrier. It is the most common form. Examples of triggers include harsh soaps, detergents, strong acids, alcohol-based products, and excessive exfoliation.

2. Allergic Contact Dermatitis
This happens when the immune system reacts to a substance that the skin has become sensitive to over time.
Common triggers include fragrances, preservatives in cosmetics, nickel in jewelry, latex, and certain hair dyes.

COMMON SYMPTOMS
The symptoms can vary from mild to severe, but typically include: redness, itching, burning sensation, dryness or flaking, swelling, small bumps or blisters, darkening or thickening of the skin when the reaction becomes chronic

If the irritation continues for a long time, the skin may even develop lichenification, which is a thickened, leathery texture caused by repeated scratching. This is commonly seen in conditions like Lichen simplex chronicus.

HOW IS CONTACT DERMATITIS DIAGNOSED?
Diagnosis is usually based on:

• Medical history–identifying products or substances that recently touched the skin
• Skin examination–observing the pattern and location of the rash
• Patch testing-a dermatologist may place small amounts of potential allergens on the skin to identify the trigger.

Patch testing is particularly useful for diagnosing allergic contact dermatitis.

TYPE 9B: FACE AND BODY GLOW BUNDLE FOR NORMAL–DRY SKIN

We often receive questions asking why we did not create separate bundle for body only in this category. The simple reason is that TYPE 14 is for body only and that address these needs individually. Whether it’s body dryness, hyperpigmentation, dullnes etc. TYPE 14 GOT YOU!.

Creating too many similar bundles can become repetitive, especially when many customers eventually request a routine that covers both the face and the body.

At Bee Organicx, apart from creating bundles because it’s fun, bundles are also created to simplify skincare. They help customers understand products description well, make routines more affordable, and guide those who may not be sure where to start with their skincare journey- although they should get a free consultation 😉 .

We have been creating skincare bundles for over four years, and it has always been a helpful way to educate our community about the different routines we offer.

Originally, this series would have simply been Type 9, covering both face and body care. However, instead of rushing the process, we decided to break it down into two parts:

Type 9A – Face routine for normal to dry skin
Type 9B – Face and body routine for normal to dry skin

Type 9A has already been shared, and now we are introducing Type 9B, which combines both face and body care for a complete glow routine.

Although this series was originally planned to be completed earlier in the year, we decided to take our time presenting each routine properly.
