Sarcopenia. is the loss of skeletal muscle mass and strength as a result of ageing.
It is a terrible condition.

Let’s explore sarcopenia !

Title: "Slowly Use Your Functional Muscles"

1. To develop a habit of being able to stand ... just don’t sit! ... and don’t lie down if you can sit!

2. After the age of 50~60, it is not possible to lose weight, especially if you do not exercise and rely on eating less to lose weight!
Because if all the muscles are lost, it can be very dangerous!

3. Does running, cycling or climbing hurt the knee?
If you have never exercised before you can only go running, biking, or climbing in your mind as it will hurt your knees a lot!
But if you have enough muscle strength and slowly develop the habit of running, cycling, and climbing, it can be a good exercise and not hurt your knees! Whether you hurt your knees or not depends on your muscle strength!

4. If an elderly person is sick and hospitalized, don't ask him to rest more ... or lie down and relax and not get out of bed!
Lying down for a week loses at least 5% of muscle mass !
And the old man can't get his muscles back !

5. Don't think that you are filial by not letting the elders do any housework, and scold the maid if they do it !
Usually, many elderly people who hire helpers lose muscle faster !

6. Don't just do a single activity every day when you go to the park.

INGREDIENTS

Big bowl Waterleaves
1 KG or 35 Ounce of Goat meat
1 cup crayfish
6 scotch bonnet peppers
400 ml Palm oil
Big bowl ugu leaves fluted pumpkin
Roasted mackerel
2 seasoning cubes
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons Ground Ofor
INSTRUCTIONS

Thinly slice the waterleaves and fluted pumpkin (ugu leaves)
Wash the ugu leaves before slicing it.
Slice the water leaves then wash it.
Allow them to strain seperatrly using a sieve to remove excess water
Clean and wash the roasted fish, pound your crayfish/peppers.
Season the meat and let it cook till it becomes tender.
Add the washed roasted fish to the boiling meat, let them boil together till the water dries.
To the meat/fish on heat, add palm oil (400ml)
The vegetables should be added, the water leaves should come first.
After adding all the water leaves, allow it to simmer for 2-4 minutes while you stir occasionally.
Keep stirring.
Add the pounded crayfish and peppers.
Add salt to your taste.
Ugu leaves should follow at this point (fluted pumpkin)
Stir in 2 tablespoons of ofor (used as a thickener). Stir properly so it doesn’t form crumbs.
Stir and allow the soup to simmer for 2 minutes, stir and serve.

🥢Move your body..... Vigorous exercise of 15 minutes or moderate exercise of 30 minutes daily, activities like ; jogging on the spot, jumping rope, swimming, walking, and aerobics are fantastic

🥢Eat a healthy diet, skip processed and fast foods replace with vegetables, lean meat, whole grains and high fibre foods. Avoid saturated fats and added sugar

🥢Watch your portion size..... Taking healthy foods in large quantities may put you at the risk of gaining weight due to high calorie intake

🥢Skip sodas and other sugary beverages, too much sugar in the body makes the body overly acidic, this is the bedrock for so many dangerous ailment. Consume lots of water instead , you can add a dash of lemon juice to improve the taste.

🥢Skip night meals or at least avoid eating late at night, it's difficult for your body to metabolise foods eating late at night, this equally has a negative effect on your diastolic blood pressure.

🤷🏽‍♀My Recommendations
In my candid opinion, unless you are involve in some sort of energy draining , physically exertive or mentally exhaustive job, taking three square meals is not ideal, especially from ages 40 when your hormones and metabolism are no longer at their optimal performances.
🥕 Say no to that big bowl 🥣 of complex carbs
🥕 Say no to late night eating better still skip it
🥕 Eat maximum of two healthy square meals daily
🥕 No carbonated drinks
🥕 Reduce added sugar
🥕 Take more raw meals (fruits and vegetables) than cooked this is especially for type "A" blood group
🥕 Alkaline your body, cut down on high purine foods like red meat 🥩
🥕 Consume lots of water 💦 especially on waking up, it reduces the level of acidity in your stomach and hydrates your system.

Let's discuss the Corona virus pandemic which is ravaging the world today.
We need to learn what to do to enable our bodies fight it should we come in contact with the infection, while we all strife to" stay safe'.
I will not like to go into the destructive of Corona virus in human body because some of us may not have much medical background.
I just want to explain in simple language how Corona virus ravages the human body.
You must have read so much about covid19 signs and symptoms, so i will not bore you with all that .
The most important thing is for us to understand how this deadly virus ravages the human body .
Viruses work by getting inside the cells your body is made of and then hijacking them.
When the virus enters the body ,it attacks the body cells in the throat , airways and the lungs.
At this early stage , you will not be sick and some people may never develop symptoms.
The incubation period ,the time between the infection and the time the first symptoms appears varies widely but it's 5days on the average.
If the disease progresses , it will be due to the immune system over reacting to the virus.
Those chemical signals to the rest of the body cause inflammation .
Too much inflammation can cause collateral damage throughout the body.
The virus is triggering an imbalance in the immune response.
There is too much inflammation
Inflammation of the lungs is called pneumonia..
In this case tiny sacs
start to fill with water and can eventually cause shortness of breath and difficulty breathing .
At this point the body starts to fail and there is real chance of death..
Having seen how the Corona virus attacks the the body , we need to be proactive in preventing such damage .
I will introduce to you a recipe you can use to make a drink ,.
You can take this drink daily especially when you go out and mix with people.
In my choice of ingredients , I considered their medicinal actions.
They are
Ginger
Garlic
Cinnamon
Tumeric
Lemon
Black perper ( or use uziza seed)
Long proper
Black seed powder
Morninga( may be added when the drink is ready -- it's optional
WHY DID I CHOOSE THESE INGREDIENTS
Ginger is anti viral and anti inflammatory
Garlic stimulattes the immune system to fight infections
Cinnamon is loaded with anti oxidants and it's anti inflammatory
