Letshego MFB is recruiting to fill the position of IT Manager

Reports to: Chief Operations Officer

Expected Start Date: 1st October, 2018
Purpose of the Job:
The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the IT infrastructure and IT operations of the institution in Nigeria. This comprises managing the IT department, which provides a host of ICT services (IT procurement, data center and server hosting, disaster recovery, internet and email, IT security, IT project management, application support, Network monitoring administration, service desk) to its clients, in addition this position also looks after IT license management, IT group compliance and managed services.
Knowledge and Experience Required of Job Holder:
1. Relevant Bachelor degree or tertiary qualification in information technology, or specialist qualification in IT infrastructure management (MCSE or ITIL ICT Infrastructure Management Certificate)
2. Substantial experience in a busy, progressive and tightly managed business environment in a comparable role of at least 5 years.
3. Extensive experience of banking systems
4. Ability to code, develop and improve scripts in line with business needs.
5. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to isolate and solve issues.
6. Ability to ‘think outside the box’
7. Ability to translate complex technical language into generally understandable information
8. Highly proficient Microsoft Office, Server, SQL etc.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Socially confident, quick to establish rapport and able to maintain relationships even when communicating disagreeable information.
11. People management skills, including teambuilding, motivation, team goal planning and the ability to use team expertise to full advantage.
12. Logical thinker – has a clear, focused, meticulous and methodical approach to work.
13. Results-orientated, driven to realise business service objectives.
14. Team player – approachable, receptive to ideas/feedback from others.
15. Assertive – stand by principles and put forward ideas.
16. Self-motivated and energetic.
