We believe that everyone of our people deserves improved quality of life following life changing illness such as stroke that is recognized as one of the greatest killer and source of disability with it's worst outcome especially among people of African descent. Every Clinician/academician involved, (Neurologists and Physiotherapists) are encouraged to share their clinical and research experiences through this forum so as to help develop the FES service to a high standard and we hope for a yearly gathering for conferences and workshops to further boost the noble work we have started and hopefully, the time will soon come when we will be in a position to join other parts of the world to share/learn from one another. As a treatment option, FES has been only within the reach of few people in our society that has the financial capacity to travel abroad to avail of it but now, we will endeavor to make the devices affordable to everyone that needs it. With recent emergence of interests and commencement of training and research among Neurologists and Physiotherapists in Nigeria and elsewhere, Our people's hope of improved quality of life lies in the hands of all involved. In unity of purpose, we will move ahead and the years ahead have a lot in stock both for us as clinician/academics and all our clients. Fredrick Oyeyemi Omojola
