Looking around me and having spent some years working for a corporation and also struggling for years on self employment, I realized that continuing in that path will not guarantee the type of income I dream about. Secular employment and doing it all alone does not have a positive effect on my age. I actually saw myself aging faster and looking older than my actual age. At retirement age, if I continue in that path, I will have nothing to fall back to. I see it as being chained to a desk at a job I don’t like just for the reality of having to earn money. I never want to trade my time for money as most people do today.
