Causes
Kidney stones are common. Some types run in families.
• There are different types of kidney stones. The cause of the problem depends on the type of stone.

• They often occur in premature infants.

• Stones can form when urine contains too much of certain substances that form crystals. These crystals can develop into stones over weeks or months.

* Struvite stones are mostly found in men or women who have repeated urinary tract infections. These stones can grow very large and can block the kidney, ureter, or bladder.

* Cystine stones can form in people who have cystinuria. This disorder runs in families. It affects both men and women.

* Calcium stones are most common. They are most likely to occur in men between ages 20 to 30. Calcium can combine with other substances to form the stone.

* Uric acid stones are more common in men than in women. They can occur with gout or chemotherapy.

* Other substances, such as certain medicines, also can form stones.

* Oxalate is the most common of these. Oxalate is present in certain foods such as spinach. It is also found in vitamin C supplements. Diseases of the small intestine increase your risk for these stones.
Calcium stones can also form from combining with phosphate or carbonate.

KIDNEY FAILURE:

Before kidney failure occurs, patients have "chronic kidney disease" (CKD). Kidney (renal) failure is when kidneys don't work as well as they should, to the point where kidney replacement is required. Kidney replacement can be accomplished by different kinds of dialysis or by kidney transplant. The term "kidney failure" covers a lot of problems. These problems can result in kidney failure:

Your kidney doesn't get enough blood to filter
Your kidney is hurt by a disease like
high blood sugar (diabetes)
high blood pressure
glomerulonephritis (damage to the kidney's tiny filters; one example: lupus)
polycystic kidney disease
and many others
Your kidney is blocked by a kidney stone or scar tissue (blockage of ONE kidney usually does not cause kidney failure because the other kidney is not affected; but blockage of two kidneys can lead to an emergency

KIDNEYS:

Sometimes kidneys are no longer able to filter and clean blood. This can cause unsafe levels of waste products to build up. This is known as kidney (or renal) failure. Unless it is treated, this can cause death.

What are Kidneys?
The kidneys are 2 bean-shaped organs, each about the size of a fist. They are found in your back on either side of the spine. Healthy kidneys clean waste products from the blood by making urine. They also balance the amount of certain elements in your blood (such as sodium, potassium, and calcium), and make hormones that control blood pressure and red blood cells.

Memory loss is unusual forgetfulness. You may not be able to remember new events, recall one or more memories of the past, or both.

The memory loss may be for a short time and then resolve (transient). Or, it may not go away, and, depending on the cause, it can get worse over time.

In severe cases, such memory impairment may interfere with daily living activities

Memory Loss can also be called Amnesia, Amnestic Syndrome and Impaired Memory Loss.

Memory loss” is a broad term for any issue with forming, storing or recalling memories. It can happen with acute conditions or it can be a long-term concern. It’s also more likely to happen with increasing age. Some causes are treatable, and there are steps you can take now to help yourself should you or a loved one experience it in the future.

Different types of memory loss

Memory loss can be acute and happen suddenly. It can also be progressive, meaning it happens repetitively and worsens gradually over time.

Acute memory loss: Commonly known as amnesia, this usually happens because of a sudden illness, injury or other events that disrupt your memory processes.

Progressive memory loss: This is memory loss that happens gradually. It’s sometimes a symptom of a degenerative brain disease.

Memory loss can often look like the following:

Asking the same question multiple times.
Trouble remembering recent conversations.
Misplacing commonly used items.
Missing appointments.
Forgetting to pay bills or handle other responsibilities.
If these symptoms appear with any of the following, it’s a good idea to see a healthcare provider:

Trouble saying or finding the right word (aphasia).
Having difficulty with tasks you could do previously without issue (apraxia).
Trouble recognizing things, such as faces or familiar items (agnosia).
Trouble with impulse control, planning or concentrating attention (executive

Health Benefits of Smoothies for Weight Loss

Apart from catalysing weight loss, smoothies have a number of additional health benefits.

Here are a couple of them :

Detoxifies the body

Unlike juices, smoothies retain the fibre of fruits and vegetables. Fibre safeguards our bodies against toxins by boosting antioxidants and increasing the activity of enzymes that clear off and neutralize free radicals. It detoxifies your liver and plays a crucial role in preventing fat deposition.

Research shows that adding fibrous fruits and veggies such as berries, bananas, pears, beets, leafy greens etc. to your smoothies eliminates the harmful waste material accumulated between tissues and cleanses your blood.

Keeps You Hydrated

Having less than the required amount of water in the body results in dehydration, making you susceptible to several diseases.

Being a mixture of various fruits, smoothies replenish the water loss in your body. Smoothies hydrate you the same as twice the amount as plain water while meeting your nutrient needs.

Promotes better hair and skin health

Smoothies can make your skin healthier and your hair stronger. They are a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fibre which are natural beauty enhancers.

The deficiency of these phytonutrients affects our skin and hair in various ways. Regular consumption of smoothies prepared with different fruits and vegetables can help fight multiple skin-related issues ranging from acne to signs of ageing.
Boosts Immunity

The primary ingredients in a smoothie are fresh fruits and vegetables along with nuts, and seeds. These elements are rich in various phytonutrients and minerals that enrich the body and strengthen the immune system.

A robust immune system protects our bodies against any kind of infection or disease. In case you fall sick, a stronger immune system will help you recover faster and better.

It’s also helpful to slow down the effects of certain infections like antibiotic-resistant ones in particular.

Enhances Digestion

It’s a known fact that fibre facilitates digestion and adds bulk to the stool giving quick relief from constipation and other related issues.

DANGERS OF SMOKING!!

Smoking has numerous harmful effects on both the individual who smokes and those who are exposed to secondhand smoke. Here are some of the medical implications of smoking:

1. Increased risk of cancer: Smoking is the leading cause of preventable cancer worldwide. It greatly increases the risk of developing lung cancer, as well as cancers of the mouth, throat, esophagus, pancreas, bladder, kidney, cervix, and stomach. It is also associated with an increased risk of leukemia.

2. Respiratory problems: Smoking damages the respiratory system, leading to chronic conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema, and chronic bronchitis. It can cause persistent coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and reduced lung function.

3. Cardiovascular diseases: Smoking is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke. It damages blood vessels, increases blood pressure, and promotes the formation of blood clots. This can lead to conditions like coronary artery disease, heart attacks, and strokes.

4. Respiratory infections: Smokers are more prone to respiratory infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and influenza. Their weakened immune systems make it harder for the body to fight off infections.

5. Reproductive complications: Smoking can have negative effects on both male and female fertility. In women, it can lead to decreased fertility, complications during pregnancy, premature birth, low birth weight, and stillbirth. In men, it can cause erectile dysfunction and reduced s***m quality.

6. Increased risk of chronic diseases: Smoking is associated with an increased risk of developing chronic conditions like diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and age-related macular degeneration.

7. Premature aging and skin damage: Smoking accelerates the aging process, leading to premature wrinkles, sagging skin, and a dull complexion. It also increases the risk of skin cancer.

Quitting smoking is the best way to reduce these health risks. It’s never too late to quit, and the benefits of quitting can be seen almost immediately, with improvements in lung function, circulation, and overall health.
