In 2025, we reimagined what learning could look like for children in Ewekoro, Ogun state. Today, over 400 pupils of Christian Pelamourges Memorial Baptist Day School, Ewekoro, are learning in a safe, modern, and inspiring environment, one designed to support their growth, confidence, and dreams.

From rebuilt walls and reinforced roofs to upgraded floors and improved classroom layouts, the school underwent a complete transformation.

What once stood as a challenge now meets the
standard of a well-equipped primary school in Nigeria - built to last and built with purpose.

Watch the video below to see the transformation of CPM Baptist Day School, a CSR project of Lafarge Africa.

For over six decades, beyond the manufacturing of building solutions, we have partnered in building the very foundation of Nigeria’s infrastructural development and its future.

On Monday, we witnessed a sterling showcase of the Beyond Buildings premiere, an integrated marketing campaign that celebrates our history, shared successes, innovation, and strength over the years.

We were also delighted to host distinguished guests from the building and construction sector as well as the arts, culture, and entertainment industry, alongside many of our esteemed customers. Notable attendees included veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) ; Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw; architect and building influencer, SirFolajomi; and entertainer and TV host, MC Rhelax.

Earlier today, chess icon and changemaker Tunde Onakoya joined our Disability to Ability beneficiaries in commemoration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities. The room came alive with laughter, inspiration, and unshakeable belief.

Watching our participants engage, learn, and grow filled us with immense pride. Their progress is proof of what happens when opportunity meets determination.

The Disability to Ability Program is a CSR initiative by Lafarge Africa in partnership with LSETF, Lagos State Office of Disability Affairs (LASODA), and the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development. Together, we are empowering 100 Persons with Disabilities with skills, resources, and opportunities to build thriving futures.
