This month, MHSR moves beyond wishes and focuses on action. younge women, mothers pregnant women in there diversity and children of the key population health matters most, but it’s under massive threat.

We are dedicating November to exposing the hidden cost of climate change on our most vulnerable our riverine communities.

Join us as we go directly to places like Makoko to show you the real, daily challenges they face from poor sanitation to inadequate healthcare access. These are direct consequences of environmental neglect impacting our children’s ability to thrive.

We aren’t just observing; we are focusing our priority on solutions.

Follow @ mhsr_ng and turn on your post notifications! Let’s confront these realities together this November.

Reflecting on the Day of the Girl, For MHSR, Every Day is October 11th!

The International Day of the Girl Child on October 11th was a powerful moment for global reflection and celebration.

However, at MHSR, empowering girls is not an annual observance it is our day-to-day mission. Our commitment is woven into every program, every decision, and every action we take.

We don’t just advocate for girls’ rights once a year; we work tirelessly to ensure every girl has the resources and opportunities to lead, learn, and thrive, 365 days a year.

Thank you to everyone who amplified the message on the 11th. Now, let’s carry that momentum forward!

• Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Nigeria.
• Regular self-exams and screenings can make all the difference.
• Awareness is power. Action is survival.

This October, we’re reaching out to women across Nigeria and beyond with education, and hope. Let’s break the silence. Let’s fight the stigma. Let’s save lives.

🔶 Safe Abortion Saves Lives Let’s End the Myths

At MHSR, we believe access to safe abortion is a matter of health, dignity, and human rights.

Too many lives are lost to unsafe procedures driven by stigma and misinformation. The truth?

✅ Safe abortion is medically sound and life-saving.
✅ It does not cause infertility or mental illness.
✅ It empowers individuals to make informed choices.
✅ It must be accessible to all—without shame or fear.

On this International Safe Abortion Day, we stand with communities and partners to desensitize the narrative and protect lives.

A Decade of Commitment: Supporting Knowledge and Empowerment.

Since its founding in 2014, the Mobile Foundation for Health Security and Rehabilitation (MHSR) has been driven by the intention of creating a well-informed community where everyone is equipped and empowered with the right information and knowledge.

We recently saw this intention brought to life as we supported NYNETHA Lagos by providing the secure space for their comprehensive Mentorship and Capacity Building intervention on Enhanced Comprehensive S*xuality Education (CSE) on Friday, September 26, 2025.

Hosted by NYNETHA Lagos and firmly supported by AHI and in collaboration with UNFPA, the program was a resounding success, exploring critical areas like:

CSE fundamentals, principles, and myth vs. fact

Human development, values clarification, and body image

S*x, gender, and power dynamics

Essential S*xual & Reproductive Health information (STIs, HIV, contraception, consent)

This collaborative approach, which included representatives from MHSR and various community-based organizations, demonstrates the power of partnership in fostering a healthier, more knowledgeable future.

Strengthening Community-Led HIV Response in Nigeria
On September 23rd, 2025, we had the honor of hosting the Finance Team from Heartland Alliance LTD/GTE_ at the MHSR office for a strategic review of the CARE-1 Project (2022–2025).

This visit marked a powerful moment of reflection and collaboration as we assessed our progress in delivering HIV services to vulnerable communities—through community-led structures.
💡 At MHSR, we remain committed to:
- Reducing stigma and discrimination
- Expanding access to HIV testing, treatment, and care
- Empowering marginalized voices through advocacy and inclusion

We were proud to have our leadership team present:

Together, we reaffirmed our shared mission: building a Nigeria where health equity and human rights are not just ideals—but realities.
