Don't quit yet: An Open letter to an Entrepreneur Who is about to Give Up.
There is a moment in every Entrepreneurs's life when you feel like giving up when everything seems not to be working for you despite working for othersβthat moment when it feels like nothing is ever going to work in your favor.
You may have tried several businesses in the past that is working fine for everyone except you.
Sometimes you feel like going to a prophet to seek special cleansing.
Before you quit, read this post till the end.
When things are working for others but not for you, it's obvious there are somethings others are doing that you are not doing, or there are things you are doing in the wrong direction. The best way to get out of it and make it work for you is to learn and adopt the winning method or strategy.
Below are three critical things you should try out before you quit that Business.
1. Focus on one Business at a time: One thing most entrepreneurs love doing is juggling 2 or 3 businesses together because they see opportunity in it. It's OK to see opportunities where others are seeing limitations. But don't do it, don't run multiple businesses at the same time, first focus on one Business and make it work before moving to the next one. You can delegate or hire someone to do it for you before moving on.
2. Focus on the critical things in your Business. There are many things to do in your Business, like getting an office, setting up a website, registering the Business, etc. all these are important, but if you can't scale them on preference and importance, you will fail. Your focus should be creating the best product or services for your customer, giving them the best support, and generating the flow of income. These should take 80% of your time.
3. Know how to and who to sell to: it is of the great thing many entrepreneurs feel like quitting, after spending a lot on product or Business and end stacking loads of products in their store.
One thing is sure here, and you sell what people want to buy, not what they need to buy because human needs are endless. Many small businesses don't know how to find customers and sell to them. Learn how to find customers and sell to them.
It takes a lot of courage to do Business.
