PROF WALE OMOLE BECOMES LAUTECH OGBOMOSO GOVERNING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN

The Governors of the two owner states of LAUTECH Ogbomoso has announced the composition of a new governing council for the institution with immediate effect. The two visitors Govs Rauf Aregbesola and Senator Abiola Ajimobi of Osun and Oyo states respectively acting in accordance with Edict of 1990 as amended which made provision for the establishment of the university jointly approved the Governing Council after their meeting. The Council will be Chaired by Prof Wale Omole (Former VC OAU) and consist of three(3) representatives each from the two owner states. Representing the State of Osun are Prof Richard Olaniyan, Prof O. O. Ladipo and Prof Moses Awogbade while Barr. Are Abdul-Salam, Dr Wale Okediran and Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN will represent Oyo state. The representative of the owner states will be joined by the Vice Chancellor Prof Gbadegesin Adeniyi Sulaimon, Deputy Vice Chancellor, 3 persons appointed by the Senate, 2 persons appointed by the congregation, 1 person to be appointed by the Alumni Association, Permanent Secretaries in charge of Education and Finance for the owner states while the Institution's Registrar will be Secretary of the Council. Their appointment takes immediate effect

NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS ON RESUMPTION FOR 2012/2013 ACADEMIC SESSION (HARMATTAN SEMESTER)

Senate at its meeting of Tuesday, January 15, 2013 approved that resumption date for 2012/2013 Academic Session (Harmattan Semester) be fixed for Monday, January 28, 2013.

Registration for courses starts immediately and no extension shall be granted.

In consonance with the dictate of her constitution the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Alumni Association will hold 6th Annual Alumni Lecture on Tuesday November 22,2011 at the Senate chamber of the senate Building LAUTECH Ogbomoso by 10.00am.
The theme for this year annual lecture is “Achieving The Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) through Regional Integration In Nigeria “
Mr Lateef Raji ,Special Advisers to Lagos state Governors on Information and Strategy and Engr. Ganiyu Taiwo Fawole , Special Advisers to Oyo State Governor on MDG are the Guest Speakers
Senator Ayo Adeseun ,Chairman Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institution will be the Chairman of this year annul lecture. The Speaker Osun State House of Assembly Rt.Hon.Nojeem Salaam will be Special Guest of Honor ,while use this medium to inform and invite all LAUTECH Alumni members to this year’s lecture we want to once again commend the two owner State Governors for resolving the institution ownership tussle amicably.

The reduction in the fees of students of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) will however take effect after consultation with the Osun State government.

By Ola Ajayi, IN order to fulfill his electioneering campaign promise of cutting down school fees to affordable level, Governor Abiola Ajimobi Monday ordered a 50 per cent reduction of school fees paid by students of tertiary institutions in the state.

Strike Suspended.The 2009/2010 LAUTECH Rain Semester Examination now starts on Wednesday 1st Dec 2010.Students are to collect their Examination cards from their respective department.The Portal will now be re-opened and will be closed on Monday 29th Nov,2010.

Prof Tesi Raji ,a Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Former Acting Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH,Ogbomoso is DEAD.He died this afternoon and will be buried tomorrow at his Ibadan resident.He was the Chairman Oyo State Scholarship Board until he death .May his Soul rest in peace.
