Type: Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor medication
Uses:
■Hypertension (high blood pressure)
■Heart failure
■Coronary artery disease
■Kidney protection in diabetes
■Post-myocardial infarction (heart attack)
Side Effects:
Cough, Dizziness, Fatigue, Headache and Nausea
Contraindications:
Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, History of angioedema, Bilateral renal artery stenosis and Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels).
Important Notes:
■Monitor blood pressure, potassium levels, and kidney function.
■Adjust dosage based on patient response.
