Odimma Orsu Initiative in Orsu Local Government Area, LGA, of Imo State has expressed satisfaction with Governor Hope Uzodinma over the decreasing insecurity witnessed in the region.
The group, which lamented what it termed the wave of insecurity pervading the region, lauded Uzodinma for bringing insecurity to the lowest level.
According to a statement, they said Uzodinma listened to their cries and fought bravely against the Eastern Security Network, ESN, and Indigenous Peoples of Biafra fomenting the troubles.

The statement reads: “To followers of recent security developments in Imo state, particularly in Orsu LGA where ESN/ IPOB criminals have been on rampage for over three years now, the seemingly intractable activities of the murderous criminals characterizes by kidnappings, car jacking and sale, human organ trafficking and harvesting, human head hunting, cannibalism, arson, looting of personal/household properties, serial rape/girl child sexual abuse, forced marriage and other miscellaneous acts of terrorism have led to grounding of every form of business activities, involuntary exile of illustrious indigenes, and the total despoliation of the various communities leaving aged men and women including other vulnerable denizens stranded in penury, loneliness, acute hunger and uncertainty.
“Though the wave of insecurity permeated the entire South East, the situation in Imo State was worsened by the presence of their headquarters and so called “Supreme Council” in the ‘Mother Valley’ located within the precincts of the state, Orsu LGA in particular. Hostility reached a crescendo following the elimination of a key terrorist named Ikonso and the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu who has been undergoing treason trials since 2021.
