Academic staff union of polytechnic (ASUP) Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology chapter hosts it's national president, zonal coordinator, ZEC members and special delegates to it's 2022 ASUP Zone D Capacity building workshop for officials with the theme Effective Administration of Trade Unions in a Challenging Environment .
The event which kicked off on Wednesday 1st of June , started with a courtesy visit to the host provost Prof Franklin Nlerum in his office. In his speech the the provost welcomed the union members for the warm and cordial relationship they have been experiencing. The program which holds at the college Auditorium is to run till Saturday 4th of June.

Former vice chancellor of Rivers State University Emeritus Prof S C Achinewhu and the Faculty of Agriculture paid a solidarity visit to the Provost Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology Oro-Owo Rumueme Prof Eziho Franklin Nlerum .

Speaking for the faculty , Prof N. Hudson Ukoma dean of the faculty, thanked his Excellency Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for reappointing their colleague Prof Franklin Nlerum as Provost Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology who he described as a humble , hard working and dedicated person which must have earned him his reappointment.
Professor Franklin used the opportunity to thank the Governor Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for the opportunity given to him again and the Faculty of Agriculture for their visit which he said will help spur him for greater achievement and actualize the vision of the Governor Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike on education.

The Reappointed Provost of Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology Oro-Owo Rumueme Prof Franklin Nlerum has held his first management meeting today 30th December 2021, in his speech he appreciated the Governor of Rivers State His Excellency Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for reappointing him, stating that he may not have been the best but the governor must have seen his achievement to have reappointed him, he added that the school is owned by the government and in the nearest possible time every challenge of the college will be handled but must not fail to be grateful to the Governor for uplifting the staff welfare and ascending the college bill which took place during his first tenure and promised this second tenure things are going to change further for the good of the college.

The Provost Prof Franklin Eziho Nlerum on behalf of the management,staff and students of the college thanked God for seeing them through another successful year despite the challenges they faced in the last academic section coupled with the pandemic. He said this during the annual thanks giving and dedication service in the college on Wednesday 27th October 2021. Ministering in the service was Pastor George Izunwa lead pastor Gateway church.
