During a seizure, many harmful “remedies” are still commonly used — putting objects in the mouth, forcing water or oil to drink, or trying to restrain the person.

These actions can cause more harm than the seizure itself.
The safest thing to do is: Protect the person from injury, turn them on their side, and allow the seizure to pass.
