I know one can make money anywhere, but sometimes you just have to be strategic. The environment you live in can significantly contribute to your growth or stagnation.
Living in a good environment increases the chances of having wealthy neighbours, which can lead to valuable connections.
You can't be living in a face-me-face-you environment and expect a breakthrough... Nah, you'll be waking up to a poverty atmosphere every day (little or no growth). It can only take the grace of God for you to pull through.
Make money and live in a prestigious environment.. You'll meet very wealthy neighbours that you can easily create relationships with.
In 'face-me-face-you' environments, you've got neighbours complaining about bad governance every single day without thinking of any societal problem to solve.... All they do is complain from morning till night while playing draughts... Meanwhile, the wealthy think strategically, pondering the next problem to solve and deals to close.
Make money and enroll your kids in high-end schools. This can provide opportunities to network with other affluent parents through your children. Your kids' friends may have parents who are doing better than you... You can get connected through your kids.. The idea is to position yourself in environments where you can naturally build relationships with people of means... A 'face-me-I-slap-you' house can't give you that access; you can't get motivated in such an environment, and your kids will suffer.
Don't plan to stay in a neighborhood that won't benefit you or your kids... be strategic!
Break the cycle, give your kids better access – access your parents couldn't give you. Position yourself, and opportunities will find you.
