TYPES OF DIABETES
There are three main types of diabetes:
1) Type 1 (Insulin diabetes dependent mellitus)

TYPE 2 DIABETES

Blood glucose is your main source of energy and comes mainly from the food you eat. A hormone called insulin made by the pancreas helps glucose get into your cells to be used for energy. In type 2 diabetes, your body doesn’t make enough insulin or doesn’t use insulin well. Too much glucose then stays in your blood, and not enough reaches your cells.
The pancreas may not produce enough insulin and the cell doesn't use insulin properly. The insulin can't fully unlock the cells to allow glucose to enter.

GESTATIONAL DIABETES
Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes that develops during pregnancy. Diabetes means your blood glucose, also called blood sugar, is too high. Too much glucose in your blood is not good for you or your baby.

Gestational diabetes is usually diagnosed in the 24th to 28th week of pregnancy. Managing your gestational diabetes can help you and your baby stay healthy.

High blood glucose also can increase the chance that you will have a miscarriage or a stillborn baby. (Stillborn means the baby dies in the womb during the second half of pregnancy.)

Gestational diabetes usually goes away after your baby is born but increases your risk for type 2 diabetes later in life.
Babies born to mothers with gestational diabetes are more likely to have obesity as children or teens, and are more likely to develop type 2 diabetes later in life too.

RISK FACTORS FOR TYPE 1 DIABETES INCLUDE:
a) Family history (having a parent, brother, sister with type 1 diabetes)

b) Age (it’s more likely to develop in children, teens, and young adults)

i) Obesity.

v) Prediabetes

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes?

3) feeling sick to your stomach,
4) poor appetite,
5) vomiting, and
6) weight loss.

WHAT CAUSES PEPTIC ULCER?
