The hypothesis is that the viral hepatitis virus provokes the manufacture of antibodies. The agent that induces antibodies is called an antigen. This antibodies act by capturing the viruses and forming immune complexes; these relative large complexes may become deposited in the glomeruli and eventually alter the tissue structure.
