On Tuesday, the 3rd of February, 2026, a delegation of PSN Rivers State, ably led by the Chairman of the PSN-Rivers Drug and Substance Abuse Reduction Committee (DSARC), visited the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation site, Nonwa, Rivers State.

The visit was aimed at welcoming the newly redeployed corper pharmacists to the state as part of her welfare activities.

Furthermore, some medications were donated to the NYSC camp clinic for a better healthcare delivery to Corps members, as part of Community Development Service to the Nigerian State.

On Wednesday, the 21st day of January, 2026, Chairman PSN-DSARC, *Pharm Quanta Roland* _FPCPharm, MAW_ led a delegation with the Public Awareness and Education Subcommittee Chairman, *Pharm. Brownson Egbor* and the Policy and Advocacy Subcommittee Secretary, *Pharm Ikpo Ignatius* to the Educational Services Department, Post-Primary Schools Board (Senior Secondary) Port Harcourt and the Head of Administration, Universal Basic Education (Junior Secondary), *Mrs. Minasi Tolofari* for an advocacy to partner with these pivotal establishments in curbing the drug use disorder among secondary school students.

The visit was targeted on collaboration to conduct teachers training, set up drug free clubs and carry out a proposed 12 weeks "Project Towards Zero Drug Abuse" in 10 pilot schools in Obio-Akpor and Phalga Local Government Areas of Rivers State.

The visit was made with some members of the Rivers State Drug and Substance Abuse Control Committee and the deliberations were very fruitful.
