"The Soldier's Reaction Is The Courage of A Disciplined Soldier" - Army Bosses Tells Wike

Here is the view of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) about the stand-off between Wike and Yerima in Abuja.

"Every soldier has an element of madness...
For while the right thinking man withdraws from danger, a soldier charges towards it

GENERAL OO OLUYEDE OFR

CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF".

The Nigerian Defence Academy does not produce docile officers. The officer's response reflects admirable composure and emotional intelligence-qualities that lie at the heart of military leadership training. His ability to remain calm, firm, and respectful under verbal provocation demonstrates discipline and professionalism.

Nevertheless, it is both unfortunate and inappropriate for a federal minister to use such language toward a serving officer of the Armed Forces. Public officials should model civility and restraint, especially when addressing those in uniform who embody national service and sacrifice".

DSS Succumbs To Pressure, Agrees Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Submits His Legal Processes

After several days of public outcry and international attention, the Department of State Services (DSS) has finally bowed to pressure and agreed to allow Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to submit his legal processes ahead of his court appearance.

This comes after reports emerged that the DSS had been frustrating his legal preparations, preventing him from accessing necessary documents for his defense. Following heavy critic!sm from human rights organizations, Biafrans worldwide, and growing diplomatic attention, the secret police have now backed down.

Sources close to Kanu’s legal team confirmed that the DSS has granted him access to his lawyers to finalize all necessary filings.

This development is seen as a small but significant victory in the ongoing struggle for justice and fairness in his trial.

THE LION ROARD AGAIN!!!

IPOB Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Defended Himself.....

He roared; “My Lord, I have gone through my case file and realised there is no charge against me.
There is no law in this country upon which the prosecution can predicate the charges against me. If there’s any, let my Lord read it out to me.
My Lord, is there any? Is there?
I will not enter any defence in a charge that does not exist under any law in Nigeria.
The charge here, does not exist and I urge you to either release or grant me bail.”

The Judge in shock, asked him to put it into writing, resulting to adjourned dates (4th, 5th and 6th of November 2025).

Abia’s Progress Must Matter More Than Political Comfort — The Bridge Weighs In

Aba, Abia State — October 10, 2025

Former Labour Party House of Assembly candidate for Osisioma Ngwa North, Iheyinna Ositadinma Mgbeahuru, popularly known as The Bridge, has weighed in on the unfolding political debates in Abia State following the remarks made by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, during a recent road commissioning event in Aba.

In a thoughtful statement released on Thursday, Mgbeahuru urged political actors across party lines to treat calls for transparency as a civic duty rather than an act of hostility.

He reminded stakeholders that the Labour Party’s rise to power in Abia was built on the principles of accountability, transparency, and probity, and that those values must remain the foundation of governance in the state.

> “As one who flew the Labour Party flag in the last election, I remember clearly that we anchored our campaign on accountability, transparency, and good governance,” he said. “Beyond party lines, I believe that when questions are raised about how our collective resources are used, it shouldn’t provoke outrage — it should invite clarity.”

Mgbeahuru described the Deputy Speaker’s comments as a necessary national conversation rather than a political attack, noting that “sometimes truth needs disturbance to float.”

> “The Deputy Speaker may have stirred deep waters, but sometimes truth needs disturbance to float. Leadership that prides itself on integrity should never fear facts,” Mgbeahuru added.

A respected voice in Abia’s political space, Ositadinma further urged leaders and citizens alike to embrace constructive dialogue over emotional reactions, asserting that true governance thrives on openness and self-assessment.

> “At the end of the day, Abia’s progress must matter more than political comfort,” he concluded.

His intervention has been received as a rare voice of reason — coming from within the Labour Party fold, yet acknowledging the value of scrutiny and open governance in building a stronger and more accountable Abia State.
