The children of late Pa Oludairo Makanju of Oke Saje, Abeokuta, recently donated airport chairs to the Shaje Annex (Abeokuta) of Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH).

This generous donation, made in memory of their beloved father on the 1st anniversary of his passing, will provide comfort and relief to patients in the hospital's waiting area.

Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, recently supported the Talabi Diabetes Center in Isara Remo to commemorate World Diabetes Day, organized by the OOUTH Chapter of the Diabetes Association of Nigeria.

This year's event, themed "Diabetes and the Workplace," aimed to educate attendees on managing diabetes in a professional setting. Healthcare professionals including Dr. Abimbola Lawal, RN Rotn. Sotunde Solu and Chief Nursing Officer Omolabake Bolaji-Alowonle shared practical tips on controlling diabetes, including effective management strategies and simple exercises that can be incorporated into daily life. Attendees participated in hands-on demonstrations of exercises tailored for individuals with diabetes.

Vendors showcased products and services promoting healthy eating habits and lifestyle choices. Shroom, a notable exhibitor, displayed nutritious meals, including innovative dishes made with mushroom and whole wheat, served with mushroom and okro soup.

The event empowered individuals with diabetes to take control of their condition, while raising awareness about workplace support and accommodations. Overall, the event successfully promoted diabetes awareness and education in the workplace.
