So, â Doctor died due to Lassa Fever, not just a doctor guys, but a Senior Registrar in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bingham University Teaching Hospital in Jos, apparently, she contracted it from her patient ând when she was laid to rest and the video was posted on x and one nurse commented “Rest well, Ma, I will never go extra for my patients, I will only do my work diligently and that’s all” you all, a lot of people dragged her like t!ger generator set but thank God all medics stood by her, you need to see us defending her, Nurses, Doctors, Pharmacists, Medical Radiographers, Drs of physiotherapy, Medical Lab Scientists, etc.

What âre you dragging her for, you should drag the government, â Dr died of a virus due to systemic failure and poor working conditions ând you want other medical professionals to be happy?

Someone even said “After all, Doctors and nurses signed death warrant” how convenient! you and who?

Everyone began sharing their stories, see, you need to be alive and healthy in order to care for your patients better.

I even dropped a tweet and I said “If there’s no PPE ând other equipments necessary ând needed to save my patients ând in order to protect my patient and myself, I will never perform such procedure, I will do my best and that’s all âs long as I ⬇️⬇️⬇️

1. Do good
2. Do no harm &
3. Prevent harm

Someone even stated how a patient she helped to procure some meds for her from the nurses station ended up accusing her of stealing from her only because she tried to replace it back, another said a patient he was so good to and was rooting for absconded during his shift ând it was in a private hospital, guess whose salary was tampered with? The Nurses

Now, let’s actually talk âbout what nurses go through because they are trying to be patient advocate with my own experience. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

I once borrow dressing pack from â pt on bed 3 for pt on bed 20. I specifically told this patient relative to kindly return it soon.

I didn’t follow up because I trusted them ând didn’t think otherwise, patient was later discharged during my off, I didn’t bother asking because I thought I passed the information well enough >>>>>>>

Few days later the patient on bed 3 wasn’t pleased with me because his dressing pack wasn’t returned and the wife (pt relative) insisted I must päy for it/return it.

So, the patient I borrowed something for ând promised to return it, broke my trust because I choose to be a patient advocate.

You all, guess what? I did, While dealing with some patients, always be 100 steps ahead.

By the way, we also promised to take care of ourselves while caring for our patients in our oath taking because you can’t simply give what you don’t have.

Do not d!e before your patient..!!!!

My name is Zainab. I’m 27 years old. An SS.

That is, I live with sickle cell disease.
My parents are both AS.

Oh, they They knew.
They were told.
They still married.

They said God approved it. They said love would be enough. They said faith would cover the consequences.

I am the consequence.

I was diagnosed before I was two. My childhood memories are not playgrounds or cartoons, they are; hospitals, needles, and adults whispering when they thought I couldn’t hear.

In primary school, I missed classes so often that teachers stopped asking why. Some classmates thought I was pretending. Some thought I was cursed. I learned early how to smile while feeling different.

By secondary school, the pain episodes became more frequent. I would wake up excited for school and end the day on a hospital bed. I watched my mates grow normally while my life moved in pauses, school, hospital, recovery, repeat.

At 15, I lost my younger brother to sickle cell.
We were both SS.

That day changed me forever.

My parents broke down in front of me — crying, apologizing, saying “We followed faith. We didn’t think…”
But the damage had already been done.

Sometimes I forgive them.
Sometimes I resent them deeply.
Both feelings live in me.

In university, I tried to be normal. I joined sickle cell advocacy groups, volunteered with awareness organizations, spoke at events, encouraged parents to test their genotype. People call me strong. They call me a warrior.

What they don’t see is me crying alone at night after another silent pain episode.
They don’t see the fear that comes with planning a future in a body that doesn’t always cooperate.

And Relationships?
That’s another wound.

I’ve been loved… briefly.
The moment conversations turn serious about marriage, children, commitment….they leave. Some are honest. Some ghost me. Some promise forever and disappear quietly.

One man once said he would do anything for me. He talked about taking me abroad, better care, a life without fear. I believed him. For the first time, my heart rested.

Then one day, he stopped calling.

That heartbreak triggered one of the worst crises I’ve had as an adult. Not because of physical stress but because hope collapsed.

Now I’m older. The pain episodes come differently. Less dramatic, but more exhausting. My body recovers slower. My fears are heavier. I ask myself questions my parents never asked each other.

I am strong, yes.
But I am tired.

If you are AS and the person you love is AS, please love your unborn children enough to stop and think. Faith is not a license to ignore knowledge. I am a proof to that

I didn’t ask to be a lesson.
But if my life can prevent another child from being born into avoidable pain, then my voice matters.

That’s why I’m writing this to you. Because people listens to you and this story needs to be heard. I hope that your audience share this till it reaches those who are about to walk by faith and not by sight, Sickle Cell is real!.

Adeyinka, keep rescuing lives, I love how you raise awareness and say the truth unapologetically, those who do not like you are probably those who wish they could be you. Have you met you?. Oh,I see you

*What is Kernicterus?*

Kernicterus is a serious and preventable form of brain damage that occurs in newborns when severe jaundice is not treated early.
It happens when very high levels of bilirubin (a yellow pigment in the blood) cross into the brain and damage brain cells.

*Types of Kernicterus*

_Acute Kernicterus
Early stage of bilirubin toxicity
Symptoms may include poor feeding, lethargy, high-pitched cry, stiffness or arching of the body

_Chronic Kernicterus
Permanent brain damage
Leads to long-term disabilities such as hearing loss, movement disorders, and developmental delay

*Causes*

neonatal jaundice
Blood group (Rh or ABO incompatibility)
diseases (rapid breakdown of red blood cells)
birth (immature liver)
deficiency
in the newborn
or delayed feeding

*Diagnosis*

Blood tests – to measure serum bilirubin levels
Physical examination – checking for signs of jaundice and neurological symptoms
Neurological assessment
Brain imaging (in severe or chronic cases)
Hearing tests (for long-term effects)
Risk Factors
Premature or low-birth-weight babies
Previous sibling with severe jaundice
Blood type incompatibility between mother and baby
G6PD deficiency
Poor breastfeeding or dehydration
Delay in seeking medical care

*Prevention*

_Early screening for jaundice in all newborns
Monitoring bilirubin levels after birth
_Early feeding (especially breastfeeding)
_Prompt treatment of jaundice
_Antenatal blood group screening
_Parent education on warning signs of jaundice

*Treatment*

-Phototherapy
Uses special blue light to break down bilirubin
-Exchange blood transfusion
-Removes bilirubin-rich blood and replaces it with fresh blood (for severe cases)
-IV Immunoglobulin (IVIG)
Used in blood incompatibility cases
-Treatment of underlying causes (infection, dehydration

The p***s has been removed; this is called Penectomy...

A penectomy is a surgical procedure where part or all of the p***s is removed. While it’s a rare operation, it can be life-saving or medically necessary in certain conditions.

Why it’s done:
▪️ Pe**le cancer – the most common reason.
▪️ Severe trauma or injury – when the p***s cannot be repaired.
▪️ Gender-affirming surgery – for some transgender women.

Types of Penectomy:
▪️ Partial Penectomy – only part of the p***s is removed. This may help preserve urinary function and sexual sensation.
▪️ Total Penectomy – the entire p***s is removed, usually in cases of advanced disease or severe injury.

What to expect after surgery:
▪️ Urination changes – urine may exit from a new opening in the perineum (urethrostomy).
▪️ Reconstruction options – some may choose surgeries to rebuild the p***s or improve urinary function.
▪️ Emotional support – this surgery can have a big impact on mental health. Counseling or support groups are highly recommended.
▪️ Follow-up care – regular check-ups to monitor healing and prevent complications.

Important Takeaway:
A penectomy is more than a surgery, it’s a journey. Medical teams focus not just on the operation, but on physical recovery, urinary health, sexual health, and emotional wellbeing.

I read somewhere that “If you want to know how easy stagnation is, visit the neighborhood you grew up in.
You'll see hairstylists, barbers, bike men, fashion designers, store owners that you left there 10-20 years ago still in the same place, doing the same thing
at the same quality, no form of expansion.
The sad part? They all had dreams to have leveled up by now. The unfair part? They are harddd workers.
Progress is not by hard work In 2026, move with GOD, work smart, work hard, be too confident
and a little cr4zy. If you're not ready to be 10% more audacious in 2026, try again in 2027.
This is a reminder to ME and any other person who needs it.

GEORGIA NURSE PREPARES TO SUE AFTER BEING SENT HOME FROM WORK OVER HAIRSTYLE HER EMPLOYERS CALLED “UNPROFESSIONAL”

A Georgia nurse says she was sent home without pay after patients complained about her elaborate, towering hairstyle she called “culturally significant” to her.

Hospital supervisors ruled the dramatic, unprofessional and a potential safety hazard in a clinical setting, citing dress code standards and the hospital’s public image.

The nurse pushed back, saying her hair never interfered with patient care and did not violate rules around natural hair.

The early January 2026 incident quickly went viral, splitting opinion online. Some argued extreme hairstyles pose hygiene or safety risks in hospitals, while others called it discriminatory and pointed to Georgia’s CROWN Act, which protects race-associated hairstyles.

The nurse has reportedly hired a lawyer and plans to file a discrimination lawsuit as the debate continues.

Were her employers wrong for sending her home, or did the nurse cross the line with a bold hairstyle?

What's your opinion?
