This is a fact. ✔️
The people that know me, know I always have lots of projects I work on at the same time, I never have enough hours in the day and I would often like to split myself in to 3 parts to get more done 😂😵‍💫

Is that always a good idea? Probably not. 🫣

But as long as I get energy from the things I do, I do them. 🤩 Once I don’t get energy out of it anymore, I delegate tasks or I stop doing those things and projects. ❌

But a very important factor of having good energy is a fit body and mind. 💪

Working out consitently has helped me getting where I am today.
I am not speaking of the perfect bikini body or the perfect gym routine.

No, not at all. But finding a consistent routine of movement and exercises has helped me to maintain the lifestyle I have. 🙏

Traveling the world for work, running a business in Amsterdam, visiting friends and family all over the world and building an online business. 🌎🧳📱

Finding ways to exercise whenever, wherever has changed my life to the better. 🤸‍♀️

Can you relate? If not, I am happy to share my experoemce with you and help you to get on the consistency train 🚋💪

Say hi to one of my non-negotiable travel buddies: the foamroller 🔘

Countless times, a roller has saved my body from annoying stiffness during or after a long day traveling. 💪

I always travel with a mini version and pack a regular sized one if I have space in my suitcase.

How do I use the foamroller:

⚡️rolling my feet. It can be done in the plane, in the car (when sitting in the passenger seat obvs), during a meeting, in every hotel room or wherever you feel like rolling your feet. The pressure under the sole of your feet does magic things: after having rolled for a bit, you feel like you re walking on clouds and you feel more energized due to the activated bloodflow. ☁️☁️

⚡️rolling my arms. On the road or at home - I spend a lot of time in front of the laptop. In order to avoid a “mouse arm” or tennis elbow complaints, I roll my forearms on a regular base. Same here: it can be done pretty much everwhere, at all times, as long as you find a hard surface where you can put the roller and your arm on.

⚡️rolling back and neck. These days, when spending lots of hours sitting while traveling, a good back rollout is a great way to start and end the day. Every hotelroom has enough space for a roll out. The rolling can remove tension in your soft tissue and boost your circulation. A regular sized roller can be used for neck mobilisation exercises too. These exercises are highly recommended when spending lots of hours looking down at your phone 🤓📱

⚡️ last but not least: using a roller for a mini workout. It can be a great tool to change up a small full-body workout by adding instability or adding different angles to an exercise if you use it like a yoga block. 🤸🤸🏽‍♂️

❄️ Baby it’s cold outside! ❄️

Winter has arrived in Europe. ☃️
Are you ready to work out outside?

Here is our winter-outdoor training checklist:

❄️ Dress for success. Layer up and invest in high quality sports gear. Make sure you stay warm but especially dry. If your body temperature changes during an activity you can get rid of a layer.

❄️ Keep your body parts warm that stick out of regular clothing: hands, feet and ears. It will make an enourmous difference if you find good gloves and good shoes (hi Goretex or similar fabrics)

❄️ Warm up properly before you go outside. Add extra time and extra exercises to your warm up routine to make sire your body is ready to move in the cold. Make sure all muscles and bloodvessels are ready to pump! After a warm up your body is not only more ready for activity with your muskuloskeletal system but also with your nervous system!

❄️ Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate. Drinking when it’s freezing outside might be difficult but your body needs a lot of fluid. Get yourself a nice thermos bottle where you can keep tea or lukewarm water of cold water is a no go for you! Hydrate before, during and after your workout or activity!

❄️ Always check the weater report and outdoor conditions. Not only will fhis help you choose your clothing but will also give you information about icy and slippery paths, icecold wind(chill) and other potential surprises.

❄️ Ask friends to join you. This is not scientifically proven ;-) but it helps to be cold together and distract eachother from the cold! Also showing up for a workout when someone is waiting for you makes it a lot easier to step outside!!

❄️ If you go outside later in the afternoon or evening, reflective gear is a must or bring bike lights. Make sure you are visible to others and you can see what you are doing (think of roots in the park, water, slippery paths or steps) Stay safe!

❄️ Are you a die-hard winter person? Find a spot to take a quick ice bath á la Wim Hoff! Make sure you bring warm clothes and know the signs of hypothermia!

Are you ready to breath in some nice cold air? 😮‍💨 We are!

1️⃣ Blackroll Twin foamroller. This lightweight foamroller has an amazing shape and is therefore ideal for your back and the rest of the body. It is one of the first things I pack when I am getting ready for traveling. If you would like to have a similar roller but smaller, check Blackroll’s DUOBALL! 🔘

2️⃣ Adjustable dumbbells. The best item for your home workout! 💪 You can adjust the weight and therefore adjust your workout the way you (or your trainer) like. They take up minimal space and make every workput fun and efficient! 💪

3️⃣ Slingtrainer. The people that know me know, I cannot live without a good suspension trainer. It is an ideal way to get a full body workout in, train global but also small stabilizing muscles and most of all a slingtrainer is so handy and fits in every suitcase, so you can work out wherever you are 🤩

4️⃣ Hyperice Venom back. The best backpain relief tool there is. The combination of heat and vibration makes the tightest muscles relax, especially during the cold and rainy winterdays. Use the Venom when your back is achy, after a workout or after a long day at the desk! Bye bye backpain! 🔥

5️⃣ Normatec recovery boots. The best friend of every athlete. These boots (also available for hip and arms/shoulder) blow up with air and create a pressure/pumping mechanism that imitates a lymphatic massage. It flushes out all toxins after a workout and makes your legs recover super fast! No more sore muscles thanks to Normatec! 🦵

6️⃣ Vitals Elete electrolytes. I love this Dutch brand for all sorts of supplements. But my absolute favorite are these electrolytes. You put a few drops in your waterbottle- no flavour, no sugar or chemical taste. The drops will gove your body an optimal hydration. Not only for sports but for your daily use. I cannot function without these anymore! 💦

7️⃣ Camelback 1l flask. (continue in the comments⬇️)
