After performing a TCA peel at Lana Skyn, a white “frosting” effect can appear on the skin during the treatment.

This frosting happens when the trichloroacetic acid causes controlled coagulation of proteins in the upper layers of the skin. It is a normal and expected reaction, and it shows that the peel is actively working at the correct depth.

The level of frosting helps determine how deeply the peel has penetrated and guides the treatment safely. TCA peels are excellent for improving acne scars, pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines, and uneven skin texture.
