When we think about the Mahabharata war, most people assume it was a battle between the Kauravas and Pandavas. But is that really accurate?

This widespread perception stems from the narrative shaped by Duryodhana. He firmly believed he was the sole rightful heir to the Kuru dynasty, dismissing the Pandavas' claims entirely. By adopting the "Kauravas vs Pandavas" narrative, we inadvertently reinforce Duryodhana's viewpoint.

Here’s the truth: The Pandavas were also Kauravas—they were equally part of the Kuru lineage. The actual conflict was not Kauravas vs Pandavas but rather Dhartarashtras (sons of Dhritarashtra) vs Pandavas, a battle within the Kuru dynasty itself.
