In the Spot Light | Ola Mazur
Ola has been part of the BPA Team (previously Th Movement Practice) since April 2013. She is currently a Master Teacher and BASI Senior Faculty, travels around the world and still has her regular clients and class with us. She brings a ton of experience and has passion and hart for her clients like no other.
What is your Fav Exercise and Why?
Recently I love all the moves that involve spinal articulation. Sometimes it's Cat Stretch, some other time Open Leg Rocker. But Short Spine or Reformer and Side Lying Shoulder Stretch on Spine Corrector are always in Top 3.
What's the thing you will always add to your workout?
Pilates is my base, my movement foundation. The awareness, breath and agility allow me to enjoy anything else outside the studio. I always combined Pilates with other movement modalities. Be it yoga, flexibility training, Salsa dancing, hand balancing. Recently, I started weight training and I love the combination of Strength Training and Pilates.
Since when are you teaching at the studio?
In 2013 as a young teacher I was looking for some mentoring and that's how I started taking private classes at TMP. Very soon after I was asked if I would like to teach a mat class on Monday evening at 19:30. Yep, the same mat class that is on the schedule today 12 years later! :) I am forever grateful for this journey, the growth and friendships with clients and colleagues that happened in the walls of TMP studio. This place shaped me as a teacher, a mover and as a person and I will carry this legacy everywhere I go.
