Trusting the body’s wisdom

Learning to trust your intuition is an act of coming home to yourself.
It can feel unfamiliar at first. The mind wants to analyse, explain, or control.
But when you drop beneath the noise, you find a quiet knowing that has always been there.

Your body is one of the clearest ways to access that wisdom.
It speaks in sensations, in subtle pulls forward and gentle hesitations back.
Like a pendulum, it moves with truth.

You can ask it a simple question and wait.
Feel how it leans forward in openness, or moves back in resistance.
This is your higher self, communicating through your physical form.

Start small. Ask what feels right to eat, to choose, to say yes or no to.
With time, you begin to trust the language of your body as much as the logic of your mind.

Your body is not separate from your intuition.
It is the doorway to it.

The people you feel drawn to are never random.
They are mirrors, quietly reflecting parts of you back to yourself.

When you notice beauty, kindness or light in someone else, you are witnessing your own essence in motion.
When something in another triggers you, it is often an unhealed piece within you asking to be seen.

We attract what resonates with our inner state.
Not as punishment, but as guidance.
Every person you meet offers you a chance to recognize yourself more deeply, the parts you have claimed and the parts you have forgotten.

When you feel admiration, let it remind you of your own potential.
And when you feel resistance, meet it with curiosity instead of judgment.
Both are invitations home.

The more love, compassion and understanding you bring to what you see, the more love, compassion and understanding you invite into your life.

Coming home to your body.

Before movement, before words there is the body.
Always here, always speaking.
Sometimes softly, sometimes through tension or breath.

At Sukha, our sessions are designed to bring your nervous system back into safety and balance.
To move from thinking to feeling.
From effort to awareness.

This is where healing begins, not by doing more, but by allowing more.

The Flow Session

Why I no longer call it Vinyasa

For many years, I taught what we in the West call Vinyasa Yoga.
A moving meditation guided by breath, focus and flow.
It is a practice I deeply love and continue to honor.

Over time, the word Vinyasa began to feel misplaced.
In its original Sanskrit context, it means “to place with intention.”
A sacred idea, not a fitness format.

That intention is still at the heart of my teaching.
But I now use a name that reflects what I actually offer and respects where the tradition comes from.

The Flow Session keeps the structure, philosophy and mindfulness of Vinyasa.
It allows me to express it through my own embodied translation, one that fits this time, this place and the people I teach.

It is not about rebranding yoga.
It is about remembering that yoga is alive, evolving, breathing and adapting, just like we are.

First time at Sukha?

Welcome. You’ve just taken the first step back to yourself.

Whether you feel curious, tender or a little nervous, Sukha is a sanctuary where your whole being is welcome.

At Sukha, we offer two signature experiences: Work Out and Work In. Both are designed to reconnect you with your body, your breath and your natural rhythm.

Work Out focuses on strength and structure in a soft, embodied form. You’ll move through mindful sequences that build strength, flexibility and flow. It’s ideal if you want to feel present and empowered in your body.

Work In invites stillness, surrender and deep regulation. These sessions guide the nervous system into rest and balance through supported postures, breath and sensory awareness.

If you’re new, begin gently. Try a Work In session or The Glow Flow to arrive softly and reconnect with yourself.

You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to perform. You only need to be here.

Sukha is a space to slow down, soften and remember what it feels like to come home to yourself.

Befriend your body.

I once hoped the tide had turned.
That we were finally raising our daughters in a world that honored the body. Not as an ornament, but as a living miracle.
A heart that only stops when your time has come.
Lungs that rise and fall like the ocean.
A cycle that mirrors the moon.

But lately, it feels as if the pressure is heavier than ever.
The whisper of “smaller, thinner, less” has grown loud again.
And once more, young girls are asked to carry the weight of numbers, calories, tricks and tips, instead of being free in their own skin.

I believe we can do better.
We must do better.

Your body is not a problem to be solved.
It is a story of resilience, rhythm, and nature’s intelligence.
It carries you through every season, every joy, every heartbreak.
It is loyal to you, your heart beats for you, your breath returns.

Befriend your body.
Celebrate its cycles.
Listen to its wisdom.
Honor its truth.

Because healing begins the moment we stop fighting ourselves, and start remembering:
we were never meant to be at war with our own skin.
