The trail asks for strength, stability, and presence.

For , yoga is both preparation and return. A way to build resilience before the run, and to soften, release, and restore after.

Movement becomes a cycle. Effort and ease. Power and recovery, each supporting the other.

A place to slow down and return.

At Mamula Island by Banyan Tree, a restored 19th century fort at the entrance of the Bay of Kotor, surrounded by the Adriatic, invites a more intentional way of being.

Here, each moment becomes an opportunity to reconnect. To nature, to breath, and to yourself. Days unfold between sea, sky, and stone, guided by simplicity and presence.

Wellbeing is woven into the rhythm of the island through yoga, breathwork, sound, and immersive retreats designed to support deeper restoration and connection.

A straighter handstand isn’t about trying harder, it’s about giving your body the tools to hold it. 🖤

If your shoulders can’t fully open or your core can’t organize under load, your body will always find another way to compensate.

These drills open your shoulders and teach your body control upside down. Move slowly, stay active in every position, and feel it not force it. Over time, your line becomes something you can support, not just something you chase.

“Repetition is the mother of skill.”

Strength is not built in a single moment. It is built through returning to the practice again and again. Through patience, curiosity, and the willingness to try one more time.

For , repetition is where trust, technique, and connection take shape. Explore more with Eugene on Manduka Mag. Link in bio.

A new season begins.

The Spring Equinox invites a return to balance. A moment where light and dark meet, and something new begins to emerge.

After the stillness of winter, this is a time to gently reawaken. To clear space, reflect, and set intentions for what you want to grow.

Through rituals, journaling, and a guided sound journey, shares ways to welcome this shift with clarity and care.

Take a moment to pause, reset, and begin again. Link in bio.

Strength starts here.

Not with perfection. Not with big moments. But with small, repeatable steps and steady effort. Crow is more than an arm balance. It’s a foundation for learning to go upside down.

Germany based yoga teacher breaks down Bakasana step by step, showing how strength builds gradually through awareness, not force.

Each step supports the next.

The spring equinox is a moment of balance,
where day and night meet,
light returns and growth begins.

It is the subtle astronomical start of spring,
a gentle turning point, guiding us from winter’s inward energy toward the unfolding of a new season.

I love to honour this shift with a small personal ritual.
A moment to step outside with my mat,
to breathe more deeply,
to cleanse the body,
to journal fresh intentions,
and to gently open the heart.

A conscious way of shedding the heaviness of winter
and creating space for what wants to bloom.
The equinox reminds us that growth unfolds in its own time.

What are you ready to release
and what do you want to cultivate this spring?

Joëlle’s international path unfolded by following what felt true to her heart. Teaching between South Africa, Bali, Italy, and the Netherlands, each place she calls home continues to shape her perspective and practice.

Moving across cultures keeps her open and adaptable, allowing her teaching to remain intuitive, present, and connected to the many ways yoga is practiced around the world.

Through her trainings and retreats, Joëlle invites students into deeper authenticity and self inquiry.

Most of us spend years perfecting poses and almost no time on what happens between them.

But transitions are the practice. They ask for the same strength, control and presence as any pose.

Here are 3 small shifts that can transform your Vinyasa flow:

🌀 Slow it down. Remove momentum. Add intention. Slow is strong, that’s where the real work happens.

🌀 Treat transitions like balance poses. Your weight shifts, your centre moves. Find stability in motion, not just when you arrive.

🌀 Use counterbalance, not just strength. Something goes back → lean forward. Something lifts → ground down. Smooth transitions come from intelligent weight distribution.

When you stop treating transitions as filler between “real” poses, your whole practice changes.
More strength. More ease. More presence.

Happy practicing!

Freestyle skiing demands power, speed, and constant impact. For 2x Olympian and Freeride World Champion , yoga offers a way to slow down and find balance within that intensity.

What began as simple stretching after the 2014 Olympic Games grew into a daily practice supporting recovery, focus, and presence both on and off the mountain.

She shares, “For me, yoga is about stilling the mind and connecting to myself. I practice slow asana, using yoga as a grounding practice.”
