In every good spiritual or psychological teaching,
we learn that the ability to appreciate what is
is the only thing that can truly give us a sense of abundance.

Today, I want to take this idea further:
Not only does acquiring and accumulating more
not necessarily make us more satisfied,
but in excessive amounts, the pursuit of abundance
can even diminish our quality of life.

Just as an excess of food
leads to obesity and health problems,
an excess of possessions, experiences, information, etc,
can harm our mental well-being.

In the modern era, people suffer
from various forms of "over consumption"
without realizing that it negatively impacts their happiness.

They fail to understand that the foundation of happiness
is, first and foremost, organizing life in a way that aligns with
how our brain is naturally designed.
