Dear Everyone,
Hopefully this finds you well!
this year being somewhat out of the ordinary, I hope, these last months have brought more inspiration and beautiful things then challenges; maybe new ways have opened; maybe some things have changed for the better.
Luckily, I was blessed to spend a lot of time in nature and outdoors which nourishes me deeply. Being in nature really means coming back home, a way of connecting to and with the earth; of finding strength and energy as well as grounding through that connection.
Like trees we can only reach high, if we have our roots connected with the earth. We need spirit and soul, air and earth. We need action/movement as well as rest, calm. All in its right time.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RIGHT BALANCE
and, equally, there's a natural cycle to life as well as events taking place, to what we need.
Now we are passing through the last months of this year.
The days are getting shorter, darker and equally colder.
For some this is a beautiful moment to be more quiet, cherishing the intimacy of this period. For others this can be somewhat more challenging because of the lack of light.
As much as movement is essential to enhance vitality, so equally, to find moments of calm in which we can quiet our mind and body and to dive into a state of peace and relaxation has tremendous power - to enter a soft and "liquid" place, experience ease, softness and space within our body and mind, has incredible healing, regenerating power.

A HEALTHY ORGANISM
is agile and mobile, has elasticity and flexibility.
If we are healthy and relaxed, we can learn, we can expand, we get creative ideas, can improvise, we are able to respond to situations more freely.
in opposition to this: when we are stressed, we tend to be less flexible and more mono-focused and our attention more locked in; the level of overall tension in our body is raised, our breath is more strained. we are in a state of "survival" which, in fact, makes it very difficult to impossible to learn and expand.
stress and habitual patterns (of movement or thought) that don't serve us, harden our organism, constrain us, our potential and equally, by repetition can lead to strain injury - e.g.: physically speaking, because of excessive computer work and smart phone use, many neck and physical problems are a result of this.
...and trauma, on the extreme end of this scale, means that an organism got paralysed to a certain extent, a natural movement and flow, the availability for new information, for change stopped.
TO BE FULLY ALIVE AND AVAILABLE
we want balance, our mind and body to be relaxed as well as energised. To work with breath and the fluidity of the body is a gentle yet powerful way to support this.

TO SHARE THE STORY AND OF A RECENT EXPERIENCE WITH YOU:
Having had an accident earlier this year in which I broke my elbow, having to have surgery and facing a strong neurological stress response as well as the necessity to find complimentary ways of working with and healing this joint - to bring back full movement range and fluidity - I've been sent onto a journey that needed both:
1: the 'conventional' exercises of physiotherapy
as well as
2: other complimentary / somatic work with breath & gentle release that would allow and support the space in this, after the surgery, stiff joint, to soften the tissue and open gradually; in order to bring a natural energy flow, movement and fluidity back into it.
It's been a journey diving into and connecting with the movement of the elements of water and equally air in a more profound way; working with and towards the natural fluidity of the body as well as with the awareness of breath, the gentle yet powerful way in which it relaxes us and can open and release space and enhance vitality in our body.
This experience, as much as it has been - no way around it - a somewhat painful and intense process, it's been an equally inspiring one. Fully going for it, with guidance from excellent therapists and listening to my body, I feel so happy and grateful to say, I've regained 100% movement range.

THE POWER OF FLUIDTY AND BREATH
Be it physical tissue or metaphorically speaking thought habits in our mind, supporting the "membrane" to soften allows the organism to regenerate, release, makes change possible, enables us to receive and also process new information on all levels.

"BE LIKE WATER, MY FRIEND" - Bruce Lee
... connecting with and harvesting the movement and flow of water and air.
.... cherishing our connection with the earth.
.... and nourishing our fire to create.
I wish for us all to keep finding the right balance
and feel so endlessly inspired to bring everything that I've experienced and learned on this journey to my work with the body and into therapy sessions with others.
...and to use it to support you.
