☀️ The sun is out… and that means it’s time for vitamin D! Do you feel it too? More energy, a better mood, and the urge to step outside as soon as the sun appears? That’s no coincidence 😉

Vitamin D plays an important role in your body. It:
✨ supports your immune system
✨ contributes to strong bones and muscles
✨ helps maintain healthy, flexible joints

Especially if you live with rheumatic conditions, hypermobility, EDS, or osteoarthritis, taking good care of yourself really matters. Even a short walk in the sun can make a difference. 🌿 Just 15–30 minutes a day outside (with your face and hands uncovered) helps your body produce its own vitamin D.

🧠When your body is unpredictable, your brain works harder. Growing research suggests that EDS and joint hypermobility are more common among people with ADHD and autism than previously thought.

This doesn’t mean one causes the other, but it does show how closely the body and brain are connected.

🤍 With hypermobility, your brain is constantly checking in:
Where is my finger? Can I trust this movement?

That takes energy.
Every single day.

Sometimes, support isn’t about doing more, but about having to compensate less.

✋ For some people, added physical stability can make movements more predictable and help bring a bit more calm into the system.

You’re not “too sensitive”.
Your body simply asks for more coordination.

• Baeza-Velasco et al. (2025)
• Kindgren et al. (2021)
• Eccles et al. (2024)

🦓 – . What if hEDS is more than “just” hypermobility?
Recent research (by ) suggests that the immune system may play an important role in hEDS, alongside connective tissue differences. Many people with hEDS experience:
✨ fluctuating pain
✨ sensitive and inflamed tissues
✨ joint instability combined with fatigue

On Zebra Day, we stand with everyone living with hEDS.
Support that respects sensitivity, comfort and daily variation matters.

Our Story
