For the first time, Hortilife will be present at the international horticulture fair Growtech Antalya in Turkey!

🤝 Together with Export Partner, we are proud to represent the Netherlands in the NL Pavilion. Preparations are in full swing, and we can’t wait to share our knowledge and solutions with horticulture professionals from around the world.

Growtech Antalya is the world’s largest fair for greenhouse and horticulture technology, bringing together exhibitors and visitors from across the globe for incredible business opportunities. At the 2024 edition, 684 exhibitors from 31 countries participated, and 39,575 visitors from 135 countries attended.

📢 15 y 16 de septiembre – Día de la Independencia 🪅🎈
Aunque la mayoría de los viajeros asocia las celebraciones mexicanas con el Día de Mu***os, muchos turistas pasan por alto quizá la festividad más grande del país: ¡el 16 de septiembre!

Es la fiesta nacional en la que México celebra su independencia del dominio colonial español. Es un día de orgullo nacional y de recuerdo de la lucha por la libertad. Se realizan ceremonias, desfiles, ondean las banderas, hay música y eventos culturales para honrar la historia e identidad de la nación. A menudo se compara con la celebración holandesa del Día del Rey.

📜 Dato histórico
El presidente Miguel Hidalgo hizo sonar las campanas de la iglesia para reunir al pueblo, proclamó la independencia y pidió la detención y expulsión de los ocupantes españoles. Su discurso terminó con el grito: “¡Mexicanos, viva México!” ✨, un lema que seguramente has escuchado antes.
Aunque México no fue declarado independiente de manera oficial hasta 1821, el movimiento comenzó en 1810. Por eso, cada año, la noche del 15 de septiembre a las 23:00 horas, se tocan las campanas, dando inicio a muchas fiestas que continúan durante el 16 de septiembre.

📢 September 15 and 16 – Día de la Independencia 🪅🎈
While most holiday travelers think of Día de los Mu***os when it comes to Mexican celebrations, perhaps the country’s biggest festivity is often overlooked by many tourists: September 16!

This is the national holiday on which the country celebrates its independence from Spanish colonial rule. It is a day of national pride and remembrance of the struggle for freedom. Ceremonies, parades, flag displays, music, and cultural events honor the nation’s history and identity. It is often compared to the Dutch celebration of King’s Day.

📜 History Fact!
President Miguel Hidalgo rang the church bells to gather the people, proclaiming independence as well as the arrest and expulsion of the Spanish occupiers. His speech ended with the cry, “¡Mexicanos, viva México!” ✨ - a motto you’ve probably heard before. It wasn’t until 1821 that Mexico was officially declared independent, but the movement began in 1810. That is why every year on the evening of September 15 at 11:00 p.m., Mexico faithfully rings the bells, marking the start of muchas fiestas that continue through September 16.
