Dit is Giulia! Giulia is een verloskundige in opleiding uit Italië. Ze zal bij ons stage lopen t/m Maart. Hieronder stelt ze zich aan jullie voor.
Indien je/jullie bezwaar hebt dat Giulia aanwezig is tijdens de controle/echo, bevalling en/of kraambed dan mag je dit natuurlijk laten weten!

My name is Giulia Barabino, I’m 21 years old, and I am a third-year midwifery student from Genova, Italy.
After having completed high school, I started my university studies in 2022, and from the very beginning, I chose this path because I’m passionate about women’s health and have always been fascinated by the subject of childbirth.
At the start of my studies, I was not entirely clear on the specific role and competencies of a midwife.
However, over the course of these years, I have had the opportunity to discover just how rewarding and meaningful it is to support women during such an important and delicate moment in their lives.
Thanks to the Erasmus+ traineeship program, in my last year of university, I’ll have the incredible opportunity to come to the Netherlands for two months (from February to March of this year) to explore how the Dutch healthcare system operates.
I can’t wait to begin this experience, and I hope to learn as much as possible about your maternity care.
