Oh oh oh, ik kan het beter niet zeggen, maar hier kun je mij echt voor wakker maken! Lam vind ik altijd een feestje, maar zo'n lamsbout is dan wel de "top of the bill" wat mij betreft. Het liefst laat ik de bout de hele dag (of eigenlijk al een dag ervoor) garen op laag vuur. De smaken trekken er goed in en het vlees wordt boterzacht. Een feestje, de perfecte start van een gezellige sinterklaasavond. En ook als je het niet viert is de avond sowieso geslaagd met dit fantastische gerecht!

Een van de voordelen dat de wereld zoveel kleiner is geworden in deze tijd is toch wel dat we met zoveel eetculturen in aanraking komen. Als gourmand (of ouderwetse smulpaap) is het elke keer een feestje als ik iets nieuws ontdek. De falafel is ook alweer wat jaren geleden dat ik die voor het eerst at, maar regelmatig eet ik het met veel plezier. Het is toch fijn dat we zoveel voedingsmiddelen tot onze beschikking hebben. Je kunt het recept ook in de airfryer maken. Zet de temperatuur dan 20 graden lager en doe een beetje olie door het beslag. Draai halverwege de tijd de balletjes om, zodat ze aan alle kanten knapperig worden. Gewoon even experimenteren. Verrukkelijk!

Het blijft toch elke week genieten van die mooie asperges. Vanaf het moment dat de eerste asperges bij mij in de buurt in de boerderijwinkel liggen, eet ik ze echt elke week. Het seizoen is tenslotte maar kort. Vandaag een echte klassieker. En echt een recept voor wie aardappel met ei als eiwitportie in zijn plan heeft staan. Maar natuurlijk ook als je al in fase 3 bent, of als je een sjoemelmaaltijd wilt eten. Nog steeds super gezond en vooral heel lekker!
