As a Medical Device manufacturer, our priority is patient safety over labels. What really counts is infection prevention. Last time we spoke about infection prevention in general, today we want to go a step further:

Research shows that traditional bathing can unintentionally spread microorganisms:
๐ข A study from US found bacteria in 98% of patient bath basins, highlighting infection risk [1].
๐ข Studies show hospital washbasins are often contaminated with (multidrug-resistant) pathogens, while water-free, single-use bathing systems provide a comparable alternative [2], [3], [4], [5].
๐ข A multicentre study in U.S. and Canadian hospitals found that 62.2% of bath basins were contaminated with healthcare-associated pathogens, indicating infection risk [6].
This is why classification and quality systems are crucial for infection prevention. Swashยฎ bathing products are developed as Medical Devices, produced in an ISO 13485 certified facility with an ISO 14644 Class 6 clean room and strict microbiological controls, and designed as single-patient, single-use solutions to minimise cross-contamination during daily hygiene.
