This was a strange coincidence. Today I kept getting feeds on Instagram of people saving birds. Then this evening my husband saw this poor dove sitting on the windowsill and clearly it was hurt. So I called the Animal Rescue and the sweet people said they would come and it up. But I needed a carton box or something to put the poor bird in. Which I did not have. Thankfully one of my neighbors had a cat crate I could borrow until the animal ambulance arrived. The poor bird escaped a few times out of my hands and hopped away but i thankfully managed to catch it again. There was a cat there who was trying to catch it as well. I hope the poor bird will be able to fly again. At least it will not be killed by a cat on my watch. Sorry I don’t have better pictures but I was more interested in actually making sure the poor bird was safe. But I also wanted to thank the great people from the animal rescue. They are all amazing.
