🧡 Parenting changes🧡
You can interpret this title in different ways!
-Parenting changes over the years, different generations have to deal with different challenges and views on parenting.
-Parenting changes you as a person, you get a 'title' & responsibility! It really is a different life than a life without a kid
Is this a post to scare you? Or the ultimate advertisement for the parenting course of ? Not necessarily! (Although Linda's course is highly recommended!!!)
But parenting is a small part of our childbirth course! WHY?
Well because everyone prepares for the upcoming birth.. but nog much for the time after that.
In itself I also thought for years..Yes fine! You just can't prepare for everything...
But time and time again I visit couples in the days after the birth and I hear:
'Pff maybe we should have read a bit more about this'
'I really hadn't thought that the baby would affect our lives so much'
'Yes, we really do sleep less than we thought'
Do you sleep better after our preparation? Uhm no..
But you have a slightly more realistic picture of a maternity week, and the period afterwards, and can often put things into perspective a bit better and organize your maternity week a bit differently, so that you can deal better with that lack of sleep, deal better with that baby rhythm.
And then you end up looking just as happy as my parents 😍
Even if you have to give birth to a baby with a nice big head:)
Beautiful curls will grow over it by themselves, you won't see anything of it anymore after a couple of years! 🤣
Before you know it, 29 years later and your daughter is the owner of a training agency and you no longer have conversations about trains in Madurodam or the sandbox, but rather about placentas and amniotic fluid🧡
