As scientists and as people committed to reducing skin cancer and sun damage, we ensure that all Altruist products undergo rigorous testing to the highest standards in the EU, which are some of the most stringent and thorough testing methods in the world.

Our sunscreens undergo independent testing at 4 different labs across Europe in 49 subjects.

Our testing labs verify the SPF following the gold standard, in vivo ISO24444 methods for measuring SPF.

All the ingredients used in the manufacture of Altruist are passed as safe for use in cosmetics by the European body for consumer safety, the SCCS (Scientific Committee for Consumer Safety) which looks at all available data and independently tests all ingredients to the highest standard.
