Instead of the usual Christmas stockings, our fellows woke up to a wonderful surprise: a shoe filled with a gift from Sinterklaas and his Pieten. A Dutch tradition that simply couldn’t be missed for our international fellows. What followed was a day full of festive activities and a surprise visit from the Good Saint himself.

To show that new, meaningful memories can take shape in a life in recovery, we at Yes We Can Youth Clinics do everything we can to make December a truly special month for our fellows. 🙏 This afternoon already felt like a gift — bright smiles, genuine connection, and a warm sense of togetherness.

It became an unforgettable Sinterklaas celebration, one we hope will be cherished for a long time to come. Everything for our fellows, each and every day. 💙

There was a knock at the door… 🎁

The holiday spirit was already in full swing at our clinic in Hilvarenbeek last weekend, as Sinterklaas and his Pieten paid a visit to the children of our colleagues. It was a morning filled with joy and wonder, with bags of treats and presents. Meanwhile, the Pieten kept everyone entertained with cheerful dancing, and dozens of little faces were beautifully painted.

What truly made this day unforgettable was the warmth of our Yes We Can family. Coming together, seeing the children enjoy themselves, and witnessing the proud looks on their parents’ faces showed how special our team is — both inside and outside of work. 🙏

A big thank you to all colleagues, the little helper-Pieten for their beautiful handmade artwork, and of course to Sinterklaas and his Pieten. You made it a magical, memorable day. ✨

Grateful for and proud of our colleague Janet. 🙏 This month she is not only celebrating 12.5 years as part of Yes We Can, but also reaching a remarkable milestone: 35 years of working in care. A perfect moment to reflect on her journey from young nurse to passionate leader who stands unconditionally ready every day for our fellows, colleagues and families.

As proud as a phoenix, because our founder Jan Willem P**t is celebrating 21 years clean & sober today. 💙 A special milestone, as for fellows their clean date is more important than their birthday. This day symbolises a new beginning and a life in recovery.

What began as a personal battle against his addiction grew into the Yes We Can Healthcare Group, a place where thousands of struggling young people have been able to begin a new, loving and happy life. We are incredibly proud of Jan Willem, who shows that recovery is not only possible, but also opens doors to give back every day what you yourself have received.

Let’s celebrate this day together. 🙏

Many fellows who start at Yes We Can Youth Clinics have often lost their daily rhythm when it comes to school or work. During our treatment, we help them step by step to rediscover structure, build new habits and find out what gives them energy.

We see how, little by little, they regain confidence and start to feel hopeful about the future again. It’s truly special to see that 87% of our fellows return to school or work after completing treatment at Yes We Can. A wonderful step towards a new beginning. 💪

Now, this is your chance to become a former fellow in training for the role of Youth Coach. Having walked this road before, you’ve grown – and now you can help others do the same.

Over the course of seven months, you will be trained and educated to become a Youth Coach yourself through our Yes We Can Academy. This is your opportunity to inspire our current fellows with your recovery journey, to use your own experience to help others overcome their challenges, and to continue developing yourself – both personally and professionally.

“The biggest difference between before and after Yes We Can is literally everything. People here gave me hope, now I have peace and contentment. I’m no longer afraid of the future.”

In the SVT Sweden documentary "Skärmfri på 100 dagar", our former fellows Adam, Josephine, Wanne and Lorenzo share with honesty and courage how they overcame their screen addiction. It’s an important message, as the number of young people around the world who are addicted to their phones or screens is rising alarmingly.
