Many hundreds of millions of people have poor vision that can simply be solved by wearing eyeglasses. That is why Focus on Vision has developed Focusspec®, a pair of glasses that is self-adjustable and not expensive. We aim to sell our spectacles to the people that need them in the under-developed world. But most of these people don’t have the money or the resources to by their own spectacles. That is why we are a Social Venture because we will do so at a price which is affordable to most.

Waren vorige week in Kilosa, een groot dorp niet ver van Morogoro Tanzania. We hielpen er jongeren met albinisme. Bijna allemaal Low Vision patiënten. Volgende week Ifakara en daarna Dodoma, de hoofdstad van Tanzania.

Hello everybody, today is World Sight Day, it's 2020. Last year at World Sight Day we made some 1500 people happy with spectacles in Morogoro, Tanzania. Today we are at Mvomero, Tanzania, a rural place where many people suffer from leprosy, a terrible disease. We are taking the necessary precautions of course, but it's not easy. Improving sight is our focus.

Dear Friends, We arranged together with Sight Savers and Lions Club Dar es Salaam World's Sight Day at Morogoro Tanzania. Some 4000 people were seen and some 1500 spectacles free of charge were handed out. To continue such actions we need donations. Binnenkort gaan we aan de slag met fase 5 voor de cacaoboeren in Ghana. De armste bevolkingsgroep daar. Dit gaat in samenwerking met Faculteit Optometrie van Cape Coast University.
